Hi everyone, I’m posting on behalf of a friend who’s been experiencing a skin issue.

From time to time, her skin starts to swell and becomes very itchy. When she scratches the area, it gets worse l, the swelling increases, and the irritation spreads. She describes the sensation as feeling like “worms” under the skin. There are no visible worms, but that’s how she describes the feeling. All the recommended drugs so far isn't working.
It call filariasis. It's a reaction. Just use loratadine, prednisolone
Filariasis

Has anyone experienced something similar or know what this could be? Any suggestions on what might be causing it or what drugs she could get

Thanks in advance!

It could be methicillin resistant staph infection. It's an extremely stubborn infection that gets worse especially if one self medicates with antibiotics that are not strong enough. She must not use any more antibiotics, the infection will get more resistant to the infection

This is a reaction. I expect it to clear off with or without drugs if she moves away awhile from her current location

My wife experienced exactly what you've shown up there, and very very itchy. It was terrible nightmare.

At last the medication she used to cure it after spending so much money to cure it wasn't up to #1k. And it worked perfectly.

Let her go for tests and all, and get adequate treatment

It doesn’t look like a serious thing to me, maybe just some reactions

And make sure you take care of her

Filariasis
She reacts to cold water, if she baths with cold water, she will experience it, also allergy to cold weather. The more she scratches, the more it will appear, she should stop bathing with cold water, use ea water to bath. If it's itchy, don't scratch, just tap tap on the area

I used to have this skin issue in my late teens and early twenties, the itch is something else. It is called "ègbèsì" in Yoruba. I used to rub palm oil whenever it started. Funnily enough, it just disappeared on it's own. I don't even remember when it stopped.

Don't mind those people saying rubbish.

It is called hives or urticaria.

It's an allergy, the skin keep fluid under it, it has many causes, let her browse it and figure out what trigger hers.

She should relieve herself with ice block.

She should put the ice in a clean cloth or towel and use to relieve the areas.

This skin disease can never go unless you change your mattress or bed and fleet your room with sniper. This skin disease is caused by bedbugs and small cockroach bites.

That is psoriasis.

Tell her to reduce the amount of carbs and processed oil (minus olive oil and cod liver oil)she consumes..

She reduce the comsumtion ofred meat except the liver, heart, fat and kidney.

Avoid sugary drinks and fruits and drink a lot of water, engage in plenty of exercise.
Eat a lot of vegetables, and plant based protein.
Cut down on eggs too.

Practice abstaining from food for long periods of time too.

Psoriasis can ruin your relationship with the opposite sex completely if treated with kid gloves.

Hypersensitivity to insect bites or other external factors, leading to eczematous/reddish wheals/hives/lesions.

A handy corticosteroid cream should resolve this within an hour.

In the village, my late grandmother would simply apply fresh palm oil mixed with siam weed on it... Worked like magic, and even made the skin look better than before.
