What exactly did Jimmy Kimmel say?

1) Jimmy said that we hit some new lows as MAGA people are trying to paint the kid that murdered Charlie Kirk as anything but one of them and they are doing anything they can to score political points from it.

2) He said that in between the finger pointing, there was some grieving. On Friday the White House flew the flag at half mast (which got some criticism), but on a human level you can see how hard the president is taking this.

3) They then cut to a video of reporters asking President Trump questions. They offered condolences on the loss of his friend, Charlie Kirk, and they asked on a personal level how is he holding up.

Donald Trump said, "Very well and by the way, you can see right there all the trucks. They just started construction of the new White House Ballroom, which is something they've been trying to get for about 150 years and it's going to be a beauty".

4) They cut back to the studio and we can hear the audience laughing. Jimmy Kimmel said, "He's at the fourth stage of grief, construction. This is not how an adult grieves the death of someone he calls a friend, this is how a four-year old mourns a goldfish".

Jimmy was basically pointing out that someone who's supposed to be Trump's friend has just died and Trump is more interested in the construction of the White House Ballroom.

Was it Donald Trump that got Jimmy Kimmel off the air?

That's not an easy question to answer. Some will say yes and some will say no and they'll both have points.

I've already told you about the feud between Trump and Kimmel, so I don't need to go over that again. Let's look at what happened in the past few days.

Kimmel made the comments on Monday, but it didn't attract any attention. Then the chairman of the FCC talked about it on Wednesday and that's when things started heating up.

What is the FCC? The FCC is like a combination of the NBC and NCC in Nigeria. Basically, they regulate broadcasting and communications.

What did the chairman say?

The chairman (Brendan Carr) said that what Jimmy Kimmel said was terrible and that the FCC would look into it. He said that Kimmel tried to blame MAGA and the Republican Party for what happened. He said that they would look at whether there's some sort of remedy. Then he said that ABC could take action before the FCC does and that would help the company. He said that they could sack Jimmy Kimmel or suspend the show and that he would advise that they do something before the FCC takes action. He said that the FCC grants licenses to TV stations and that they could look at the licenses of TV stations that carry the Jimmy Kimmel Live show.


That's ⬆️ why some people believe that Trump was behind the removal.

However, after the FCC chairman's comments, small TV stations that show the Jimmy Kimmel Live show announced that they would drop it. Nexstar, a company that owns the largest number of local TV stations, also announced that they would drop the show.

That's ⬆️ why some say that it wasn't Donald Trump that got it removed. They say that TV stations were dropping the show and that it would mean less viewers and less money, so ABC decided to take it off the air.

However, Nexstar is trying to buy its biggest rival Tegna and it requires regulatory approval from the FCC for the deal to go through. The regulations say that no company can have more than 39% of the TV market (this is to prevent a monopoly) and this deal would give Nexstar control of more than 39% of the market and the FCC chairman has said that they might change the regulation, so Nexstar wants to keep him happy.

First, the idea of making fun or making light of someone's tragedy is a moral or ethical issues and NEVER a criminal offence. Charlie Kirk may be considered as a hero or martyr to some, but to others he may be seen as a villian or a vermin due to some of his shocking ideas and opinions. For instance, someone that called George Floyd a scumbag and that his death didn't warrant national attention. The irony is even that George Floyd's death was even more horrific and henious than that of Charlie's death. The US govt now want people to show or display some sort for empathy to the same person that once said the word empathy is a made-up word and not even in his dictionary.

But in all these the reporter has said nothing raw or bad at least I can see some beautiful diplomacy in chosen his words, however, their is no way if I'm not mistaken Trump won't ends up in jail after living office I'm very sure he can't escape it this time, he have just only 4 years and America must have learned their lesson in raw form now and I'm sure their brain is reset proper now.

Charlie Kirk built a brand on saying the most outrageous, provocative things when he was alive, things that many considered vile, divisive, and outright corrosive. But now in his death, we see a strange twist: the U.S. government and corporate America punishing people for speaking openly about him. Workers are being fired, people are being silenced, all for voicing opinions about a man who never held his tongue.

This is the same America that parades itself as the global preacher of freedom , lecturing other nations about liberty and free speech. Yet, when it comes to home turf, the First Amendment is being mocked in real time. The hypocrisy couldn’t be clearer.

The difference today is that social media has blown the doors wide open. What used to be whispered behind closed doors, kept in check by newspapers owned by the puppet masters , is now on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for the world to see. The mask of hypocrisy slips daily.

Charlie Kirk was a provocateur, nothing less. He thrived on his platform, said venomous things, and enjoyed the spotlight for it. The U.S. government cannot turn around and muzzle people who are saying equally sharp things about him now that he is gone.

Think back: when Sani Abacha died, Western headlines dripped with mockery. When Gaddafi fell, newspapers danced on his grave. Freedom of speech wasn’t repressed then, so why now?

There’s an African proverb that says: “The dance someone does in the marketplace and gets sprayed with money, another who copies it may be flogged and called a madman.” Kirk copied Trump’s market-dance of provocation, assuming he’d reap applause. But in the end, the dance cost him.

And perhaps Trump himself is pushing the clampdown, because deep down he fears the same spectacle awaiting him when his own time comes.
