An aunt or uncle who would then more likely expose the child to more traumatic experiences than would he/she would have been exposed to with his own parents, abi? undecided

If that is the effect of Tinubu shege, that is actually a positive. People should only have children they are adequately equipped to cater to and raise. If you no fit nurture and care for a child, no born am. undecided

Sometimes it was a good idea and the child got a better environment plus more discipline and better role models.

Other times, it led to child and se.xual abuse, neglect and emotional issues.

It's best to be very honest about what and whom you're dealing with, family or not. And sometimes you have to accept what you can find if circumstances are too bad.

I just realized that I can trust my kids to every one of my siblings and half-siblings, save one. And that I can trust my kids to my Aunt-in-law, one of my Sisters-in-law and maybe my brother-in-law. Which is quite hard to do. I guess I am blessed

I can send my kids to both Grandmothers and they'll be fine and well-looked after, but they will pick up a wazoo of bad habits between those 2 old ladies lipsrsealed. They'll do better with Grandpa, as he's at the right age to reflect on his previous shortcomings and do better.

Hilariously, nobody will send their child to me. According to my sister, "you're the bestie Aunt". Even my in-laws, I'm Super Bestie Aunty.
