I've been saying this from the very beginning that the organizers of this show, in their greed and rigid mindset, will totally undermine the novelty this show used to have in the late 2010s. I think BBN started becoming niche after the flop that was the "All-Stars" season. I noticed even this last season that KellyRae won, during the finals we didn't get any info from AfricaMagic delegates about records broken in ratings and viewership and all that. Already, that should tell you there is possibility that TV ratings for the show might have stalled in place at best, or worse, they've started taking a downward turn.

I remember during the Pepper Dem/Lockdown era, I couldn't walk ten steps on the streets without a reference to people like Mercy, Tacha, Erica, Ozo, Kiddwaya, Laycon and co, even from people in my office. Till date, these names are household names. But now, the average Nigerian couldn't care less. This time, some of my co-workers weren't even aware that the show had started until I told them, and still many said they'll pass on it.

Well, the show will always have its core fanbase, but the novelty and nationwide buzz it used to have is dead in the water. The only thing sustaining them now is sponsorship and the fact that the Nigerian reality TV scene is full of average shows which makes BBN continue to stand out.

I'm not sure I get your point. I also think one of the paragraphs is to me. Let me paint the reality for you as it is before you get carried away.

1. It has been established that they do things under the duvet.

2. Dede then acts like nothing happened which unfortunately Kola has to play along. - This shows he's still bowing to her whims and she's very much in control of whatever it is they have going on. If she decides to go public with him today, he'll happily jump at it. Basically Kola is just taking whatever she offers. Lets also not forget that he really really worked for this and made all of the efforts, which is why I think she doesnt really like Kola like that, so no he's not the prize to her. He's just nice enough to accept whatever she offers

3. Third and the most brutal of them is that Dede keeps whacking him in public despite their intimacy. Any self respecting man shouldnt be accepting that if you guys are already doing things. This is the one area i'm actually giving kudos to Kola. Maybe he's just nice enough to keep taking the hit while she acts for the public. Most guys wouldnt take the disrespect. He's actually sacrificing his self respect for her

This is actually the only reason why I would say Dede fooled me. I catch on to things quick and if you remember I already mentioned that something similar happened with Koyin and the next minute she started acting and telling him she missed her bf bla bla bla and hugs and Koyin returned the same energy. If Kola had done same, maybe we/I would have known. Now that I think about it, that night he was screaming at her by the swing that she was being mean to him did seem like an overreaction, maybe that was the context I was missing

4. We all know Kola was never interested in pursuing things outside. That part is clear. We also know he doesnt really like her like that. He just needed his aesthetic ship for his strategy. The problem to us however was that he came off as a simp and being too desperate for it. He also has the camera crew to thank for redeeming him otherwise, she'll keep faking it and he'll be the one to suffer the whole consequence - like being in the simp hall of fame.

Dede thinks very highly of herself, which makes her similar to Koyin and Kola.

But she pretends about what she wants because she's childish.

I thought Sultana was just bitter when she insisted that Dede actually had her eyes on BRIGHT at first,but stepped back because it would make her look like a traitor to Mide.

Looking back, Sultana might be right. Where everyone will come for Dede is if her "boyfriend" is actually a big man or even worse, a politician.

We never got to know the real Dede.

It’s honestly hilarious how some of Dede’s die-hard fans are still desperately trying to paint her as this hard-to-get, smart, decent, “pond-owner” kind of girl. Adorable, really. Meanwhile, those of us with functioning eyes and common sense have always known she’s nothing more than a fake, hypocritical wannabe. And guess what? Some of us didn’t even need a camera to figure her out — her game has been loud from day one.

Some of us don’t even need a camera to decode her game. She has always been doing — albeit discreetly — what she criticizes other housemates, like Sultana and Isabella, for!

I’ve said it here before: I would be surprised if Kola were genuinely in love with Dede. That’s because I knew Kola only wanted to make a point — to expose Dede’s hypocrisy. She has always wanted Kola; he knows it for a fact, and he knows she’s been hiding it from both the viewers and her fellow housemates. I remember also saying that Kola is Dede’s main prize in that house, regardless of her antics and how she cleverly used Koyin and JJ to boost her value in Kola’s eyes.

And oh, I still crack up thinking about that one fan who tried to argue that Kola meant nothing to Dede because her “boyfriend” outside the house is supposedly this rich, powerful man who sent her on a 3-month vacation to South Africa. Bless their delusion — what a solid, airtight defense!

I even warned one of her most loyal keyboard warriors on this platform: Yes, creating your own happiness is lovely, but reality checks are important too. If you’re still out here convincing yourself that Dede is some flawless queen, brace yourself — another round of heartbreak is loading. And now that the rooster has finally come home to roost (big shoutout to the camera for catching Dede’s yansh in 4K), I can’t wait to hear what excuse they come up with next. Dede must be exhausting to defend — just like I predicted!

And just so we’re clear: Dede will try to chase Kola outside the house. But he? Oh, he’s going to block her so fast, her head will spin. Believe it or don’t — Dede is simply not in the league of women Kola actually vibes with. Outside the house, Kola won’t even look her way. One of her stans should go ahead and screenshot this for future reference. You’ll need it.
