The Only Thing Death Does To A Believer

It delivers the believer to Jesus.

Therefore whether life or death, it is a win-win situation for every true believer, because to live is for Christ and to die is to be with Christ.

God bless.

Therefore let no one think that death is the end to a believer because it is only the beginning of their best lives, which is not here in this earth but in heaven with Jesus.

Moreover the killing of a believer cannot stop the church or the Gospel from being preached, instead it's proven overtime to be a catalyst for the growth/expansion of the church and the spread of the Gospel.

Hence while they were busy killing the early Christians, including the apostles, thinking it would stop the church and the spread of the Gospel, the church kept advancing and gaining more ground, until they realized killing Christians was proving counterproductive to their plans, that they had to put it to a stop.

Prior to that, even the enemies of Jesus thought they would see and hear the last of Him or any of His followers if they put Him to death, but while they were rejoicing at His death, little did they know that the same little movement that started in Jerusalem which they tried to stop by killing Jesus, would explode into the biggest and greatest movement the world has ever seen, heard or known since its existence.

So death can never stop the church or the spread of the Gospel, it can only make it become stronger, bigger, and better.

God bless.

Matthew 5:10-11 (KJV)

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

My question is when Jesus died who was he delivered to?

My question is when John the baptist died who was he delivered to?

My question is when Moses, Abraham, Noah, David, Elijah, Elisha, Joseph Gideon, Enoch and Jacob died who were they delivered to?

And yet, none of us wants to be delivered to God, We don't even want to leave this world, Even when they say heaven is a better place, we don't want to leave here (die) and go there (heaven)

We are already in hell, if you treat people well and did not do evil to others, next time you die your soul lives in paradise forever, if not you will be reincarnated. And you can't even choose who you will become in your next life, what you do now determines your next reincarnation. If you become dog or goat... or a very poor human, it is because you did something wrong in your previous life.

Jesus → To the Father’s hands, proclaimed victory in Hades.

John the Baptist → Body to his disciples, soul to Abraham’s Bosom.

Patriarchs/Prophets → To Sheol (righteous side = Abraham’s Bosom), awaiting Christ.

Enoch & Elijah → Delivered directly to God without death.

Quote a clear verse for each!

But why is the pick-up ambulance taking them to different places?

Wasn't there a plan to take them all to one place?

Jesus → To the Father’s hands, proclaimed victory in Hades

To the Father’s hands:
“Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, ‘Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!’ And having said this he breathed his last.” (Luke 23:46, ESV)

Proclaimed victory in Hades (the realm of the dead):
“He was put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, in which he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison…” (1 Peter 3:18–19, ESV)

Descent into the lower parts (Hades/Sheol):
“Now this, ‘He ascended’—what does it mean but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth?” (Ephesians 4:9, ESV)

John the Baptist → Body to his disciples, soul to Abraham’s Bosom

Body given to his disciples:
“When his disciples heard of it, they came and took his body and laid it in a tomb.” (Mark 6:29, ESV)

Soul to Abraham’s Bosom (the righteous place in Sheol/Hades):
“The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom.” (Luke 16:22, NKJV)

Patriarchs/Prophets → To Sheol (righteous side = Abraham’s Bosom), awaiting Christ

All went to Sheol:
“For I will go down into Sheol to my son in mourning.” (Genesis 37:35, when Jacob thought Joseph was dead)
“For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption.” (Psalm 16:10, prophecy later applied to Christ)

Righteous side (Abraham’s Bosom):
“…the poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom.” (Luke 16:22, NKJV)

Christ delivering them after His death:
“When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men.” (Ephesians 4:8, ESV)

Enoch & Elijah → Delivered directly to God without death

Enoch:
“Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him.” (Genesis 5:24, ESV)

Elijah:
“As they still went on and talked, behold, chariots of fire and horses of fire separated the two of them. And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.” (2 Kings 2:11, ESV)

Before Jesus, the Bible says everyone went to the realm of the dead, but the righteous and the wicked were kept separate. Think of it like two waiting rooms — one of comfort (Abraham’s Bosom) and one of torment. A few figures like Enoch and Elijah were exceptions, taken straight to God.

When Jesus died and rose, that changed the plan permanently. He opened the way so that the righteous no longer go to a waiting place but are now with God directly. In other words, the “ambulance” now has only one destination for those who trust in Him.

Where is John delivered to Abraham again?

And Elijah went up into heaven. Where is he being delivered to anyone?

And Jesus said into God's hands he committed his spirit. Does that mean his spirit will be delivered to God?

John the Baptist

Scripture says “his disciples came and took away the body and buried it” (Matthew 14:12).

About his soul: The Bible doesn’t explicitly say “John went to Abraham’s bosom,” but according to the Jewish understanding of the time (Luke 16:22), the righteous dead were gathered to that place of comfort, awaiting Christ’s redemption. That’s why we infer John was delivered there.

2. Elijah

Elijah’s case is unique. “Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven” (2 Kings 2:11).

Unlike others, Elijah was not delivered to Sheol or Abraham’s bosom. God directly took him — no “intermediate stop.” So he wasn’t delivered to anyone; he was carried straight to God’s presence.

3. Jesus

On the cross Jesus said: “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit” (Luke 23:46).

That means His spirit was consciously entrusted (delivered) to God the Father. But, uniquely, Jesus also descended into Hades to proclaim victory (1 Peter 3:18–19; Ephesians 4:9–10) before rising.
