Evidence has revealed contradictions, exaggerations and outright falsehoods in the government’s so-called proof after Dada Olusegun, Special Assistant to Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Social Media, shared an infographic on X featuring testimonies from 11 Facebook users who allegedly received ₦25,000 under the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer Programme. One of those cited, Uzoma Solar, said that he never received a kobo. “It was just cruise. Someone said the government was paying, so I just said I received it, too. I did not receive a penny,” he admitted. Others insisted they had been paid but gave accounts that do not align with official procedure. Sandra Jonah, a graduate of Benue State University, claimed she “registered” individually and her name “came out.” She wrote on Facebook that she received ₦75,000 in three tranches, while others got ₦25,000 once. Similarly, another Facebook user, Ikemefuna Nwamaka, said she went to her LGA to register and later found money in her account after her friend alerted her. Both claims run contrary to the National Social Safety-Nets Coordinating Office (NASSCO), which manages the National Social Register (NSR) used to identify beneficiaries. According to NASSCO, states first select the poorest LGAs using poverty data, after which communities themselves identify the most deprived households. Data is then collected by trained Community-Based Targeting Teams and processed with an algorithm to determine eligibility. The agency stresses that individuals cannot self-register, nor does it publish any list of beneficiaries. The inconsistencies between official guidelines and the stories of supposed recipients have fueled doubts about the credibility of the programme and the presidency’s narrative. With one “testifier” admitting to lying outright and others presenting accounts that clash with NASSCO’s documented process, critics say the government’s reliance on unverifiable social media posts as proof of payment undermines its credibility. Nigerians are now demanding that authorities release a verifiable list of households that actually benefited. Until then, Tinubu’s ₦330bn cash transfer story appears increasingly difficult to defend. https://parallelfactsnews.com/tinubu-evidence-revealed-to-be-false/ |

The Goodluck Jonathan regime was known for SURE-P as its social investment program, from which many people benefited immensely. The Buhari regime was known for N-Power, whose beneficiaries were known and verifiable. All of these was happening while fuel subsidies were still being paid. But then the Tinubu government came in, removed the subsidy, and instead of continuing with meaningful social investment programs, it distributed a few grains of rice and began spreading lies, falsehoods, and propaganda backed by fake figures about imaginary numbers of Nigerians supposedly receiving N25,000 under the Renewed Hopelessness Conditional Cash Transfer Programme. If Tinubu were still in the opposition, and a government were dishing out wicked and draconian policies, spreading lies, falsehood and propaganda, flagrantly disregarding the constitution and the rule of law, and committing even half of the atrocities his current calamitous regime is committing, he would be out on the streets today, sponsoring, funding, and organizing protests and civil disobedience in Ojota, Lagos, and across Nigeria, calling for regime change |

An APC supporter shared a screenshot of his payment receipt as obtained from his bank. He wanted to give legitimacy to the claim that he received the cash transfer. However, he possibly forgot that you need to be smart to lie successfully.

DesChyko:Kai! This is unprecedented. Nigeria has never had it this bad. Imagine the deceit. No wonder the APC Youth Leader is recruiting for Special Assistants on Propaganda Affairs (Sapa). All these will be part of their job description.

Programmes like this cash transfer are why the nigerian economy is broke. We need a push towards diversification and industrialization...not more free money |
