Please someone wan help my friend get job in Ireland . As a forklift. With 2 years work permit and Visa. He has told the guy to attend at least 2 months or 3 months training in Nigeria. And then get a certificate of forklift from a certified company in Nigeria.. The hourly pay is 15 pounds. My only question is.. Is this forklift job stressful... Please just asking for a friend.. Any body in the field here. Anyone doing forklift job here abroad? We have asked people in Nigeria. They said the work is not stressful... |

Forklift is not among job shortage list in Europe, and there is nothing like pounds in Ireland they spend euro not pounds only Northern Ireland spend pounds which is then a country among the uk. I don’t understand what you mean by stressful. In Europe you earn your keep. 8hrs job minimum with 30-45min break for 8hrs shift but 1hr for 12hrs shift. Forklift may require manual handling but I don’t think it’s tedious as much as factory. Your friend will find out while learning. PS becareful don’t get scammed… Forklift job has no shortage in Dublin Ireland |

Scam. The one who is helping would soon be requesting money for various "processing fees". You cannot get work visa for forklift operator ... when there are sooo many unemployed experienced ones there. If you are trained and get certified as a forklift operator in Nigeria ...that certificate would be invalid over there...the helper should know that . Would your Nigerian driver license be valid abroad? ...same thing. With the serious crackdown on immigration violaters many are losing their jobs and would turn to scamming those back home desperate to japa. |

Originalsly:.. The guy said my friend should get a certificate of forklift from Coca cola .. He will help him get a job as a forklift operator. Coca cola is an international company... I don't think it's a scam. Bro it's not a scam.. The certificate is just from two companies... NIGERIA BREWERIES OR COCA COLA. HE told us that they won't take any other certificate from other companies in Nigeria. He explained everything to us. |

mascot345:Let me assume that you are asking this with a clear mind but when you get scammed don't forget to come back here to tell us. You really believed that a company in ireland will give you visa sponsorship to come to ireland to work as a truck driver? Do you have experience as a drunk driver? Any safety training? They can't find any experienced truck driver in ireland, Scotland or England? I'm keeping an eye on this thread |
| Re: Forklift Job In Ireland by mascot345(op): 2:56pm On Sep 21, 2025 |
justwise:Bro it's not truck driver. It's forklift job. If we train very well in Nigeria and get certificate from Coca cola or Nigeria breweries. The guy will push our CV and help us get work as forklift in Ireland.. It's no scam. Forklift is a skilled job abroad. |
| Re: Forklift Job In Ireland by justwise(mod): 3:12pm On Sep 21, 2025 |
mascot345: Of course its a scam even a blind man can see that. Yes forklift is a skill abroad but they are not recruiting from Africa or Asia, if they can't get forklift drivers in the UK they can get countless Polish or Romanians who does not need visa sponsorship that will do the job cheaper. |
| Re: Forklift Job In Ireland by mascot345(op): 3:36pm On Sep 21, 2025 |
justwise:. Story , they will recruit polish or Romanians ... But will not recruit Africans or Asians. Bro, I don't believe u. What if no Romanians or Polish wants job or applied for the job. Why do u think they will not recruit an African with a good CV. With a good certificate from coca cola... These guy has helped so many people secured job in Ireland with the right certificate. |

mascot345:Whoever promised you or your friend the forklift job is nothing but a scammer. Forklift is not under the critical skill occupation list. Don’t fall for this scam. https://enterprise.gov.ie/en/what-we-do/workplace-and-skills/employment-permits/employment-permit-eligibility/highly-skilled-eligible-occupations-list/ |

mascot345:Bro Just listen to advice don’t waste your time and money. God has bless you enough to bring this here for advice, even if you get to Ireland Nigeria certification for fork lifting and all don’t work in Europe they have their own safety protocols and requirements. If you like train under Aso Rock nothing like they will consider you, to train for fork lift in Dublin cost about €500 with one week physical training |

Ashirioluwa:Specific capabilities or skills that are eligible within a broader occupation category are listed under ‘Employments with Specific Skills’ – applicants with these skills may apply for Critical Skills Employment Permits. If your employment falls within the broad employment category but you do not have a specialism as indicated under ‘Employments with specific skills’, you may not be eligible for a Critical Skills Employment Permit.. This guy has not requested any dime from us till everything works out fine. Are you telling me that if we learn this skill very well in Nigeria and travel. We won't get job in Ireland. Because we are also ready to learn the forklift operation in Ireland too. And train with them for one week or two weeks. |

| Re: Forklift Job In Ireland by justwise(mod): 2:16pm On Sep 22, 2025 |
Oldest scam in the book… you will not pay a dime until the visa is issued, victim is happy, they send the victim photoshopped visa and request for payment, after payment they block the victim |
| Re: Forklift Job In Ireland by Ashirioluwa: 8:29pm On Sep 22, 2025 |
mascot345:What I and others are telling you is that since forklift operators are not included in the list of key skills occupations, you cannot utilize the forklift operator certificate to obtain an Ireland work visa. |
