Nigerian Woman Arrested In Connection With Spintex Robbery in Ghana by Peterobiisathie(op):
A Nigerian woman, Jennifer Nweke, has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service for her suspected role in a robbery incident which took place in the early hours of September 14, 2025, at a private residence in Spintex, Accra.

The robbers were alleged to have forcibly entered the home of a 35-year-old man at approximately 3:25 a.m.


They allegedly made away with gold jewellery, a laptop, wristwatches, handbags, File photo of suspect in handcuff clothing and cash totaling about US$5,000 and some GH@21,645.

The arrest of Nweke was announced by the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), COP Lydia Donkor, during a press briefing in Accra Ghana's [XEMI Premium Apartments on Saturday, September 20, 2025. 1Km from Kotoka Intl. Airport

COP Donkor mentioned that intelligence led to the arrest of Nweke and a 26-year- Last Chance Before Completion old Ghanaian, Prince Opoku, who is also known as Agyenkwa, at their hideout in Adenta on September 18, 2025.

"A search conducted on them revealed some of the stolen items, including jewellery, mobile phones, and large sums of cash," she indicated.

According to her, Opoku, during interrogation, confessed to the crime and mentioned one Mensab alias Taller as the mastermind behind the crime.

"During interrogation, suspect Opoku admitted his involvement in the crime and mentioned one Mensah, alias Taller, as his accomplice and leader of the operation,” she stated.

Giving details about the robbery, COP Donkor disclosed that as part of their investigations, Opoku aided the police in locating more stolen items in Glefe, a suburb of Dansoman Last Stop.

The police were said to have also retrieved a bag containing a Philippine passport and two women's purses with business and ATM cards.

The suspects later led investigators to a hideout in Agbogba, where additional belongings of the complainant were recovered.

Additionally, a wrapped black polythene bag containing travel documents was also found near a rubbish dump close to Opoku's secondary residence.

She gave an assurance that efforts are underway to arrest all other suspects linked to the robbery.
