Igbos Not Victimised Or Treated As Second-class Citizens In Lagos – APC by bolaayenimo(op):
By Temidayo Akinsuyi

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed allegations that Igbos and other ethnic groups are being victimised or treated as second-class citizens in the state.

Speaking in an interview with DAILY INDEPENDENT on Sunday, the party’s Publicity Secretary, Mogaji Seye Oladejo, described such claims as baseless blackmail being promoted by politicians who lost elections and are looking for scapegoats.

Oladejo insisted that Lagos has always provided a level playing field for all Nigerians regardless of their ethnic origin, adding that the successes recorded by Igbos and other nationalities in the state are clear evidence of its accommodating nature.

He said: “That’s cheap blackmail. Lagos has always been and remains the most accommodating state in Nigeria. No one is treated as a second-class citizen here. The Igbos and other ethnic groups thrive in Lagos because the state provides equal opportunities for all.”

The APC spokesperson further maintained that Lagos would continue to be home to all Nigerians, stressing that the prosperity of non-indigenes in the state is a testimony to its hospitality, not hostility.

“Those peddling the hostility narrative are politicians who lost elections and are looking for scapegoats. Lagos is home to all, and APC remains committed to protecting that heritage. Truly, when a stranger prospers in your land, it is a testimony to your hospitality, not hostility,” he added.

Lagos State is currently the HQ of Igbophobia, otherwise APC won’t be responding.

This lame response is a failed attempt to mask the reality of how many Igbos feel about the treatment they get from Yorubas in Lagos State.

They get harassed and discriminated against for simply being Igbo.

The Yorubas are losing a lot of political capital with how Agbadorians are handling this UzoArt matter on social media. Not forgetting the street renaming saga and other hostile ethnic baiting while Tinubu continues to corner all projects and appointments to Lagos. All these just to continue to perpetuate Tinubu in power but at what cost? Nigerians from other regions are watching.
