Truths9ja:This is why this new tax law is supported by me. From January, banks have the liberty to report large transactions to FIRS and people would be given the opportunity to file a tax return and explain. No hiding place for yahoo boys not even crypto can help them because FG is also working on heavy crypto regulation. |

Watin concern landlord and agent? na their money them want. The only way to curb this is by whistle blowing system; that's, report any landlord that give out their property to Yahoo bois |

I don’t think it’s a must for young men to be poor and doing the labor jobs she suggested, but I support not making wealth through fraud. |

pdppower:People will always be quick to shout the "charity begins at home" slogan. They forget even parents are humans too and are sometimes (if not oftentimes) molded and influenced by the same society the children are exposed to. It takes serious restraint and discipline to resist the many things out there. In an environment where poverty has been weaponized, forget it. All morals will die. Kindness is leaving Nigerians and is very scarce today. Talk of honesty? You dey whyne me? The same with kindness and even evaporating fast from our society. Just mention any virtue and see how it's disappearing. Into where, I do not know. And as they go, the vices enter with bloated chests. Check countries with very little poverty population all over the world and compare with those with much poverty. You'll see what I'm saying. Some empty heads on nairaland will join their oppressors to chant the slogan of : "Nigeria is poor"... Yet even every dumb AI knows it's only mismanagement and corruption, nothing else. Sahara reporters just released an audio of the FCT minister manipulating elections and other incriminating evidence. Watch, Sowore will be the one they'll arrest. And nobody will protest, even if it's just to make that minister resign. Who knows if nairaland agents will let this message show or will ban me for this. I don vex, I'll copy and repost if una try am. I type long o. I for open thread sef. |

Who are the people renting it to them?! Ironically the caretaker of my apartment building is an elderly man. If it was in the 80’s such an elderly man seeing a young boy with no point-able source of income would refuse to rent to him. Fast forward to 2025, I can categorically tell you this elderly man is among the greediest and untrustable person I have ever met ![]() The older generation of nowadays are nothing to write home about. I know families, that their young daughters are the breadwinners. Like what tha heck! As a father your daughter in 200L Unilag sends 50k and you don’t question how she got the money?! Who does that?! This would never happen in the 70’s or 80’s no matter how poor the parents are.

correctyourself:I ask myself same question because it must surely come to an end one day. Nothing last forever. A generation without any known skills, most without proper education or legitimate source of income. My friend and his wife encouraged their 18 year old boy to go into that. Today he is living in a mansion he rented with millions of naira. When I questioned his source of income, my friend told me to my face that I sound jealous. Na there I give up. |
