Mediahq:Why did you convert an existing estate of landwey Westwood park off monastery to 2004 estate and you demolished all the existing structure. A lot of court case will arise from the existing subscriber. The estate landwey have sold out. What will happen to the subscribers. |

Good development but financing terms still put the scheme out of the reach of workers who truly need housing. 50% down-payment seems unattainable for many. Nigerian banks should go into the business of financing mortgages. |

It’s true that Lagos property prices can be high, but the Lagos 2004 Estate project aims to tackle affordability with flexible payment plans, long-term mortgages, and government-backed financing options. These measures are designed to make homeownership more accessible, especially for first-time buyers. Qshelter Admin diabeticdeals: |

Thank you for raising this concern. To clarify, the ongoing construction within the 2004 Estate is taking place strictly within the LandWey reserve areas and on portions that the company has legally bought back from existing plot owners. The buildings that were demolished were carcass structures that belong to LandWey, not to subscribers. No subscriber’s rights have been violated. Every development currently being carried out is part of a deliberate effort to enhance the entire scheme, improve infrastructure, and ultimately increase the value of the estate for all stakeholders. We remain committed to transparency and to protecting the interests of all subscribers as we work to deliver a well-structured and thriving community. Qshelter admin bolademi: |

We recognize that a 50% down payment can be a significant barrier for many workers. That’s why Lagos 2004 Estate also offers long-term mortgage options and government-backed programmes with interest rates as low as 6% per annum Qshelter Admin ayandee: |

Joshnweze:I see your point but the problem remains. 50% down-payment is unattainable for the working class majority. If banks are committed to financing mortgages, a 20% down-payment would work for a good number of workers with the rest spread over 20 years. It's a loan backed by security- the property in itself so the risk is manageable for the banks. They already have a robust structure in place for debt recovery. That way, the developer/builder is encouraged to build more condominiums and similar structures. |
