I doubt scan can reveal wrapped umbilical cord, my wife gave birth around August and four days before she gave birth we did full scan and it never detected the wrapped cord on my daughter although I had chosen C section because my baby’s weight was 3.9 tho she came out 3.7 and my wife was 40 weeks plus 5 days . I did my research and found out it’s risky to push a big baby then I opted for c section only for my daughter to come out with a wrapped cord and I did about 8 scan for this pregnancy because my wife had a false labor that was managed by the hospital so from time to time we keep checking for the safety of my daughter and none of these showed wrapped cord

But the cord Tinubu tied around our neck is even way too much.

One of my babies had the cord round her neck, labour was progressing well and it was time to push, pushed first time, pushed again it seemed baby was bouncing back.
All of a sudden the matron said Mrs xyz stop pushing I was still trying to push, next thing she shouted Mrs xyz stop pushing!!! Her shout/scream caught me off guard for a very nice nurse so I calmed.

Next thing she chook her hand inside trying to use a finger to wriggle something, I sensed she was struggling with it , with the intensity of the way she was struggling the stuff was tight around something , she held those their scissors like stuff she used her finger to hold the stuff with and clipped with the scissors, next thing I felt was gboa, the baby came out.

Apparently it was the cord dragging the baby back it was very tight around her neck so anytime I pushed the thing was dragging her back . I was just saying howz my baby how's my baby, I was so distraught I couldn't even hear her cry. She just said calm down madam your baby is okay ,she's crying. After assessing her she said this your baby is 'oriyomi'.

Thank God because those on ground were experienced to know what to do at that time.

I dunno if there's a scan that can detect that stuff now.

That's what made my wife go through the knife last month for my boy to come out. Her due dates had passed, yet no labour. So she's induced, still the baby couldn't come, until she's cut, and it happened to that the the cord held his neck. He's a healthy boy now.

Exactly my case. A boy also.
