You do not have to donate, neither are you obligated to donate to her fund

If anything, the ads are directed towards her rich friends and the political elite who want to use her birthday to dash her big gift and take out large advertisments in the national papers to wish her birthday greetings. She is telling them to use the money they would have used for those things to donate it to the library.

As for the rest of us, if we like, we donate, if not, forget. I am not donating myself.

One of the highest war crimes ever committed in human history is the burning of the Alexandria Library. That singular act set the world civilization centuries back. Put in a proper perspective, we should be at the level of future civilization expected in 22nd or 23rd century. Free online registration and access cards.
Free books leasing.
Free scanning and token for printing - Just enough to replace papers.
Free Children's after school group classes.
Free kids weekends reading clubs.
I can go on and on.

Our leaders travel abroad and some even lived abroad, but they can't bring any of those home.

Why would a first lady use National library to play politics...Her husband told us Nigeria has exceeded its revenue expectations and we are no longer paying subsidy... Why not take money from their to complete the National library...
