Alex Iwobi shines brightest in England as the Super Eagles star beats Ryan Gravenberch and Bruno Fernandes to claim the Premier League Player of the Week award.

Fulham's Nigerian international, Alex Iwobi, has been named Premier League Player of the Week, a recognition of his phenomenal performance in the club's 3-1 victory over Brentford.

The 29-year-old’s decisive contribution at Craven Cottage saw him outshine some of the league's biggest names, including Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenberch and Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes at the weekend.

Alex Iwobi has been one of the most consistent performers for Fulham in the English Premier League dating back to last season. He puts in exceptional performances week in week out; unfortunately, he is not able to replicate the same level of performance when in the Super Eagles jersey. It has always been the same story for almost all the national team players; they do well at their clubs but turn to mediocrity when playing for Nigeria.
