Most Nigerians will be paying heavy taxes, yet no one is negotiating how the quality of life should be improved.
No one is asking where the money will be channelled to.
No one is talking about better hospitals, schools, electricity, better roads.

No one is worried that we will be giving our hard earned money to govt which could be looted to acquire homes in florida.
Am I really overthinking this? How come we are all fine with this?

Yes first statement is false, with the emphasis on "most", and thus invalidates your point that Nigerians should demand better quality of life.

You're confusing yourself. 100k a month or 1.2m a year, you must pay tax under the old tax regime , with 300k per annum threshold, and under new tax reforms act with 800k per annum threshold. .

What difference will they make?

In fact listen to Taiwo Oyedele, who led the committee of technocrats that drafted the tax reform bills, explain the provisions of the new tax reforms act

He specifically mplorwd Nigerians to read the act thoroughly to avoid poor understanding which, according to him, is leading to a lot of misinformation currently.

He is clearly frustrated that they are explaining the new tax reforms act to Nigerians copiously and exhaustively and showing factually it is beneficial yet ignorant Nigerians, who have not read the tax reform at all, continue to insist otherwise.
