Easy to say now.... The talk before Arne Slot took over was he was going to flop taking over from a legend and a big character like Jurgen Klopp.
Especially as he was coming from a 'farmers league' and wasn't even coaching the top two teams in Holland Ajax and Psv.

True but the voter's favourite player will still have to perform over the course of the season in a top league to be in contention. If a voter's favourite is someone like Kane or Lauturo Martinez, I doubt they'll both have enough votes to win it simply because of those criteria.

Dembele is the favourite and should win but there are players who can also win if they fail to recognise him.

Dembele, Raphinha, Nuno/Vintihna, Yamal, Mbape and even local champion(last season) Salah.

The "Voter's Favourite" must also perform to be considered in the first place!!!

I meant his favorite player in the race. Even when they are not in race, most times they release how voters voted and you will be seeing people voting for people that isn't even in the race to win it.

I get you...Na why them dey call am polling booth nah but you still gads perform some how during the course of the season

Most players in the race are mostly players with an argument to win. They're never random players. Mbeumo or Kudus aren't winning it this season. Once you're nominated, it means you did something right over the course of the season. For example, if the local champion of last season, Salah were to win it, some people will say it's deserved. Madrid fans will justify for Mabape as well. Didn't win any trophy last season but he was outstanding at individual level.

For me aside Dembele, all of Vintihna, Nuno, Ralph, Yamal, local champ can all win it. They all have a shout.
