I asked in a previous thread when the news regarding Wike's Florida mansion was exposed why EFCC, ICPC and other anti-craft agencies continue to be silent over Wike's case until I came across this powerful answer to the question in another thread below.

Following the analogy made by the respondent "Because it is bad habit to talk while you are eating" Are the heads of EFCC, ICPC, police and other anti-craft agencies truly eating from the same evil pot with Wike? The silence of these agencies is suspicious and reeks of guilt. When will Wike be invited to explain how he aquired the properties?

Nigerians keep attacking the poster (Sowore) while Tinubu and Wike continue to laugh at them.

The level of corruption in Nigeria is something else ooo. These politicians are not ready to develop Nigeria at all. Just after themselves.

Wait a minute, I could recall the Pdp Governors bringing a suit to supreme Court for adjudication and truly the court didn't hear a matter of urgency like that this is truly pathetic

I can’t answer your question but I think you should know 2 things

1: the EFCC doesn’t just go picking up people because you make an accusation on social media. There must be a petition.
2: if you saw the Wike interview, he said this matter is not new. It was brought up when he was contesting for governor and when his wife was nominated as a judge.
3: who told you they haven’t investigated? What if they have investigated it and found there is nothing to it?

I think the question should be why hasn’t Sowore or Sahara not lodged a formal petition?

One could also ask why EFCC has not investigated the house Obi bought in GRA Ikeja while he was governor. Why ICPC or EFCC has not investigated Obi’s diversion of government funds in a bank he owns and a brewery he has shares in.

The EFCC and ICPC need to be scrapped. They have outlived their usefulness. Nigeria is on autopilot. Corruption has now become an institution. Even the two main bodies that are created to fight against corruption have become corrupt and can't be trusted anymore. Maybe we should now accept that corruption has defeated us; we can no longer fight it. Hence I suggest a new ministry be established - Ministry of Corruption and Related Practices. When done at least other countries who are struggling with corruption like us can understudy and learn better how Nigeria leads in that area.

EFCC and ICPC don't 'work' because you Nigerians assume they should fight corruption...alone.

Unless it is someone from a side you don't support that is being prosecuted, you won't support or help EFCC or ICPC.

Remember when EFCC came for Ibori, and how they almost got attacked. Or when they came for Yahaya bello, and his people formed human shield. Or the threats against oil production made when it was rumored they wanted to look at GEJ or the threats made when it was implied they should investigate buhari

Yeah, we can say we should split the country, until you wake up and realize the same thing happens in states that are made up of one tribe alone.

For EFCC and ICPC to work well, Nigerians whether obidient, tinubu or atiku or gej or buhari or whatever have to realize corruption threatens them individually, whoever is doing it.

It is not EFFC's job.
