grin grin My brothers at it as usual, never disappointing in that regard.
It's pure laziness, greed, get rich quick syndrome, desire to impress that push people into drug trafficking and all other sorts of illicit businesses.

If we had been counting the amount sent to prison, it would be over 5000 by now. Soon India would start asking for subsidy to help feed these men.

As per our passport, they gave massively destroyed it's reputation.
cry bro na that one really pain me pass as Nigerian. Innocent me, more than once/twice I land an European country (via transit) the airport immigration & police just on seeing my passport simply set me aside from other arriving travellers to check my luggages (whether i carry any incriminating thing).. Its so so embarrassing! But as guyman I just smile all thru and keep compliments, but feel hurt inside me.

These guys have really brought shame to Nigeria.. Such a shame!

I’m still wondering when Igbos began to see drug trafficking as the way to get rich.

Even in the 90s and early 2000s there weren’t like this. Back then it was Bini boys and Yoruba guys that used to be caught with drugs - occasionally - and even disgraced publicly by the govt, especially the military regimes.
Yoruba and Bini are still very very much into it...

Yoruba dominate the Middle-East and Africa drug route.

Edo boys Europe and SouthAmerica.

The juju of Yoruba and Bini are powerful.

The Igbo chaps either don't use juju or theirs don't work.

Hausas and other Nigerian tribes are equally into the drug trade, mind you.

News about the illicit drug trade involving Igbo names tends to be bigger news and generate more views and engagements in the Media...especially social media...than others.

And those with hiden or open political agenda...or Ethnic bigotry...just loves to be pushing any news they believe could "smear" the image of those they don't like

Their ways, value system and culture is evil and they cannot adopt a proper way of reasoning and living.
One of the reasons they are in so much trouble and turmoil at home and abroad.

That's for the Indians. In Nigeria, we say a person is imprisoned with "hard labour".

I use to tell a friend that the drug trade from Nigeria was like a S.W and Bendel collabo. The Bendel capitalized their market in the North with s.w rule most of south west and parts of the north. That the Igbos started crime big time when IBB took over. The thing is Igbo are now usual suspects all over the world taking the criminal poster child. While on a low the Bini and Yorubas do it in a more organized format.

This is not true and it doesn't give with reality.
One of the reasons why Igbos hate Buhari was simply because he introduced death penalty for drug traffickers at that time, most of the people caught were Igbos. I think some were executed, and since then their hatred for Buhari is unmatched.

Decree 20: In 1984, the Buhari regime promulgated the Special Tribunal (Miscellaneous Offences) Decree 20, which made drug possession and trafficking offenses punishable by death via firing squad.

The Igbos saw this decree as a plot against them while the rest of the country where ok with it
