Now look at countries like Indian and Cuba, is Cuba also richer than Nigeria? So why is country like Cuba enjoying better health care delivery than Nigeria?

The little money they budgeted for the health sector, how did they manage it? I believe you know the answer.....

Even the UK he is talking about have its challenges you will see British complaining about the NHS, poor services and even no available doctors about 60% of the health care workers in the UK are foreigners, even in the USA health care is not cheap and very expensive that it can bankrupt you but their service will still be better than Nigeria though because they have better experts and technology but my point is there is no place without its challenges.

Let's be realistic in this country Nigeria can not have health care on par with those places. Do you know how much investment and budget go into health care in UK and USA ? It is more than our national budget and even with that most health workers in UK are foreigners and a lot in the USA too and it is still very expensive and sometimes poor service and you know how much taxes they pay to be able to get that ? Nigeria can never match that even if we put all our budget on health care.

He's just getting to know... Most doctors have relocated and the few remaining are overworked... That's the pathetic situation currently.

you have said it all, there are simply no doctors left, last time I checked only about 25k plus are on the country's medical register, that's like 1 doctor to over 10k people if we do an even distribution.
any doctor you still around is probably tiding up his relocation plans or is too old to make such a move or has a very flourishing private hospital

Many of you want UK levels of healthcare. UK spends 176 bn pounds on health. Our budget for this year is 14 billion pounds

We got to fight corruption, tax the 70 % of Nigerians that don't pay tax and also diversify the economy so that we can attract trillions of naira in the hundreds of trillions so that we can have budgets that make sense

At least Hope Uzodinma got a federal university teaching hospital for Imo state only for him to place the teaching hospital on the same premises with Federal Medical Centre in his adopted hometown, Owerri; as if no facility exists elsewhere outside Owerri in Imo state to locate the teaching hospital.

States that have healthcare budgets that before corruption comes in are already scanty, and you want them to build a replica of a world class hospital. That most of you would be insisiting you pay N100 consultation fee, and do cs for less than N50000. Tell me, how would the world class hospital make profits to run well? The world class hospital abroad that our leaders run to work because their patients pay heavily. Like the one our Bubuhari died in.the very expensive London clinic....it is a hospital where the clients pay high fees. That money is used by the hospital to maintain itself. If we built a hospital like it in Katsina, would the average Katsina man or woman or child be able to pay the type of fees needed for its upkeep?

You Nigerians, you resemble the man that spent all his lifesavings on rolls royce only to find he had no money when the car broke down. When he could have bought corrola for less than one twentieth the amount, and if car breaks down, spare parts dey.

If you want a world class hospital in your state, be prepared to pay world class fees. Not N20000 for appendicectomy..lol.

That guy is known for chasing clout. If not that he just wants to chase clout, why would he mention that he went to a hospital and waited for doctors without seeing one? What is a rich guy doing in a government hospital in Nigeria? What did he expect? Why didn't he go to a private clinic? He just wanted to announce that he can afford to travel abroad for his medical care.
