Just as I don't support the waste in our country's system, I don't think we should take the security of our president or any citizen for granted.
There must be a more decent way of moving our president without causing problems to other road users.

If a Nigerian adult does not know a head of state was once assassinated on the streets and is even confident enough to argue about it publicly, I give up.

Nigeria is a country where we are under severe hardship. We are one of the poorest nations on earth per capita we are ranked 178 out of 189
close to 90% of budget is funded by borrowing. If most of your expenditure is borrowed is this a responsible way to spend borrowed money

Is it not the same president that was recently approached by Umar Mohammed at Murtala Square later said to have mental problems, an alarming and embarrassing security breach. He attends mosques and weddings here and there. Convoy is not security it is irresponsible at that scale especially considering our financial situation

I remember during the primary at Eagle Square he complained about cars there not made in Nigeria

Any security expert will point out the vulnerabilities of that convoy. That convoy from a purely technical perspective does not offer the protection you claim it does and the president in his social engagements many which also appear frivolous opens many other fronts for those who wish him evil

The complaint is that it is excessive,wasteful and in bad taste considering the plight of Nigerians and the finances of the country

@op I guarantee you it is very expensive for them to move too, it's not always about numbers of vehicles that amount to costs... technology, agents around the perimeter and within the city on the day of movement, so many unseen things going on in between, that is very expensive.

I clearly stated a president and governor because I was referring to a democratic setting, but your brain is lacking the ability to relate. Was Nigeria on a democratic system when the assassination happened? You brought in Yar'Adua because you couldn't figure out I used Abacha to remove such mentions to my replies.
