sometimes I wonder how you misinterprete this award. Ballon d Or like FIFA award is for best performing player in a season. That is the player that's done well the most. It is not an award for best player cos there can never be a unanimous best player as opinions are subjective. As long as the Bdor exist, FIFA the best award(the ceremony) will continue to be secondary and you won't hear one footballer saying my dream is to win FIFA the best when bdor exist. Right now, FIFA the Best is the Europa of Bdor while bdor is the UCL.
