I said when compared to demon slayer and I didn’t generalize it.

Being called "overhyped" is usually worse because it means someone or ( a lot of people) made it sound way better than it really is, leading to disappointment.

On the other hand, "low budget" can actually be a good thing or bad thing depends…… I didn’t say JJK is a shit or overhyped anime because I know many people liked it

I hope you know Chief of War is more like a true life story sha. Kamehameha is a strong and powerful chief who'll later unite the islands, kahekili will be defeated and all the other islands will merge under Kamehameha. He's a wise man and a warrior also.

Chief of War: 8/10
SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!

Chief of War is easily one of the most unique historical dramas I’ve seen in a while. There’s definitely nothing not to like in this show the landscapes, the battle scenes, the attention to detail in costume and culture. Everything looks grand and well put together. Jason Momoa came through strong, but what impressed me even more was how deeply the series respects Hawaiian culture. From the language to the rituals and traditions, it all felt authentic and gave the story real weight.

The only real flaw in this otherwise epic saga is the pacing. Some of those middle episodes kinda dragged. Also, the heavy use of the Hawaiian language means a lot of subtitles, which I personally think adds depth. Honestly, if subtitled films feel like a burden to you, then you’re denying yourself the chance to experience some of the richest stories cinema has to offer.

Now, the finale was something else entirely a showdown I won’t forget anytime soon. The battle scenes erupted with volcanic energy, raw and heart-pounding enough to keep you glued. Hats off to the goat of the series, Jason Momoa. He was a beast, literally cutting down body parts left, right, and center. Keōua had no fighting chance against Ki‘ana; the fight would have been over even before it started. I think they wanted to keep his character alive a bit longer. Even though he was badly burnt, I strongly feel he survived. But when it comes to the quieter character moments, the spark just isn’t the same. Ka‘hūmanna, the so-called God of War, is the clearest example. He spends most of the time as a looming shadow, more ghost than thunder, and by the finale I was expecting a ground-shaking showdown that never came. Maybe the writers are holding him back for a future season, or maybe they’re just staying true to history where his role was more symbolic than brute force. Either way, it leaves you craving that god-level clash to live up to the name.

Looking at the way the story is unfolding, I expect the series to run at most up to season 3 before it wraps up.

Go and watch, you will love it but we the fans are waiting for another season for years now

it’s Season 5 we are waiting for but I just found out Season 5 is out in china since last year and it will be on Netflix this year.

Fans have been watching it on YouTube for months now………… No time to waste I’ll start watching the S5 now.

this anime each episodes was rated 9/10 and I heard it’s very depressing that’s why I’m still thinking if I will watch it……. Funny thing I downloaded all episodes and deleted them all.


Watching Japanese shows and it’s about Sadness omo it’s always hit different and hard.

First off, brilliant show.

Secondly, fear women. See as Namake couldn't keep it any longer and had to confess to his brother about what has transpired but the so called wife of Ka'iana lock up like say tomorrow nor day. To the extent of gaslighting him , talmabout "You've changed".

Thirdly, love is a dangerous drug. How do you leave your husband and go and check on the welfare of another. I'm talking about Kahanumanu.

The biggest loser in everything is Kamehameha, lost his kingdom, lost his wife to his General.

As for Keoua, werey dey beg Pele when he see death, nor he only Pele, na Maradona.

I enjoyed how Heke took her time with her rapist, experimenting with him on the battle field.

Kahekili has become a complete madman. Was he fiddling with his son's boyfriend? Like What Tha Hell!!!

I feel the second season will be about Kahekili and he will also have purchased guns also and the 3rd season against white men.

Overall, thoroughly enjoyable.
