This supposed not to surprise anyone in this country. It is the normal norm. Or how many of those politicians rulling the country really earned his or her supposed certificates by their own efforts? I mean from the presidency to the local government councils. Those who cracked their brains to earn their certificates can be counted easily. Write ten million, six hundred and twenty-three thousand, one hundred and twenty-three naira, ten koko. Just ask them to state it in numerical order. Or tell some of them to spell simple"synonymous" and you will surprised. But the only thing they know is looting the people's Treasury.

To be fair, in the finance world, ICAN is more highly regarded than ANAN.

That said, she could have gone for ACCA which is also well respected, but more flexible.

Writing ICAN through proxy when they’re many ICAN certified chartered Accountants that are still looking for Jobs or being underpaid .

No exaggeration here. All my mates who passed the exam about 10 years back are senior managers and directors in top companies across the world today. Most were already managers in well-respected companies in 4-6 years...and we all came from very humble backgrounds and did not have any connections.

If you are hardworking, studious and resilient. Add ICAN to your portfolio of skills and certificates, and it will unlock doors you never knew existed.

I am talking from experience...not theory.

Forget the few ICAN members that you may have seen and that you were not impressed with. Also, it takes a bit of time something to unlock the full potential the certificate affords you.

I wont be arguing this on NL. I am just telling you hard facts.

ICAN don't conduct exam in September, so I doubt the authenticity of the claim. ICAN only have May and November diet.

It may have occured in the last May Diet but the video just surfaced on social media.

Also those involved were just too too lazy as ICAN is very easy to pass now compare to 80s and 90s when it is ** in one Course or subject, it's automatic failure of the whole 5 and you have to rewrite the whole level if you still want to continue. Also some subject like Tax in those days, you were not going to be given the Tax rate which is common now along with other reforms put in place. If anyone can read or study moderately and paying attention to detail, such person should pass ICAN.

What kind of thinking is this? Investigation has to be done to ascertain the following facts!
(1) Who cleared him to enter the exam hall?
(2) Evidence of the commissioner contracting him to write the exam
(3) Evidence to show the commissioner actually registered to sit for the exam
(4) Proof that she wasn't anywhere sitting for the exam on that day
(5) Any other proof that will lead to the irresistible conclusion that the commissioner is culpable

Anyone that you see badmouthing ICAN failed woefully. They are all ANAN members. With ICAN, you can get reciprocity in some courses with ACCA, CGMA and CPA. With ANAN, you are useless, even in Nigeria. No serious corporation employ ANAN.

Stop lying abeg. The number of people sitting for ICAN exams has even reduced very well and the pass rate is still very low. I failed two exams in the last diet in a north central state that has only two centres in all. For some papers we were only 6 at my center, the highest we had for a paper was 19, others were between 6 and 10. How then can you say the number of ICAN chartered accountants is becoming too much?
