The Abuja 2030 Commonwealth Centenary Games bid was presented to the Commonwealth Evaluation Team in London earlier today.

Today in London, Nigeria presents the case for Africa to host the Commonwealth Games for the very first time (Abuja 2030).

Nigeria has stepped forward on behalf of a whole continent, confident that the 2030 Centenary Games will mark a new chapter of inclusion, opportunity, and shared destiny.

We have offered not only Abuja, but Africa, as the stage on which the Commonwealth family can celebrate 100 years together and inspire the next century of excellence. The Government of Nigeria pledges its full support to host Games that will be truly unifying.

History is within our reach. The dream is alive. The time is now. Let us complete the circle of Commonwealth unity.

To the Commonwealth Family,

It is time for Africa. After 100 years of the Commonwealth Games, they have never been hosted on African soil. By bringing the Commonwealth Centenary Games to Nigeria in 2030, you will send a powerful message that every region of the Commonwealth matters, and that Africa is not only part of the story, but central to its future.

Nigeria is the gateway. Africa is the stage. The Commonwealth is the family. Let us make history together in 2030. Let us complete the circle of Commonwealth unity.
