Shemadex:Feb 2023? 😅 Oo boy, your Facebook agent really ran you street! You better order your Global Case Management System (GCMS) notes to see the rubbish your agent has submitted for you. the funny part is you are still calling him My agent 😅 Feb 2023 means it’s already pushing 2 years — almost 3 years now. Hahahaha. Why would you even use an unlicensed visa agent when a Canadian visa application for one person (visa + biometrics) costs only about CAD $185? In Naira, that’s roughly ₦125,000–₦140,000 depending on the exchange rate. Except of course you wanted the “visa package” ( Fake POF, Fake Emplyment documents, Fake tax return, fake marriage certificate ETC) those agents like to sell you. Before you reapply Order the GCMS notes and get ready for the shock of your life — you’ll see all the nonsense the Facebook visa agent has entered on your behalf. Honestly, I can bet you already have a 5-year visa ban, and your agent doesn’t even know how to tell you. You applied in 2023, which means the ban would expire in 2028/2029. Look on the bright side — you’ve already served 2 years, so only 3 years remain. But make no mistake, a visa ban is a very serious issue. Even after the 5 years, you will still have to explain it on every future visa application to the “Five Eyes” countries — Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. or any country why you got a 5 years Visa ban in Canada And sadly, just saying “I didn’t know” won’t count as an explanation. |

GbengaBigBoy:These Facebook/Telegram/WhatsApp “visa agents” can do anything they like because they aren’t licensed to practice Canadian immigration and have nothing to lose. I keep saying it: in the whole of Nigeria, with a population of about 232.7 million (as of 2024), there are only 7 licensed Canadian immigration consultants. Just 7! That should tell you how rare genuine professionals are — and why trusting random “agents” online is a recipe for disaster. https://register.college-ic.ca/Public-Register-EN/RCIC_Search.aspx

Your Facebook agent is not God — they can mess up your life. A 5-year Canadian visa ban for a Nigerian means you are barred from entering or successfully applying for Canadian visas or permanent residence during that period. Even after the five years, you will face much stricter scrutiny in future immigration applications worldwide. Put simply: with a Nigerian passport and a 5-year Canadian ban, you’re in double trouble. Even after the ban expires, you’ll need to provide much stronger proof of honesty and eligibility. A Canadian ban raises red flags about credibility, making future applications — whether to the EU, U.S., or other Western countries — far more difficult. Even if you eventually obtain EU citizenship, problems may still arise. When applying to enter the U.S. through ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization), your history can be checked, and prior bans may prevent you from entering the U.S. or other countries. Remember: a simple visa refusal is far better than a 5-year ban — because a ban leaves a lasting mark, sometimes for life. |

amnotapervert:If not our country that our politicians have messed up, must we go to all these countries? Our bad politicians have made many Nigerians to think that one has not arrived without going to these countries. I checked different comments about not being able to enter those countries due to initial 5 years ban, and I feel like and so what? Will the world come to an end because of that? Are they even gods? I started thinking that we can also improve our status here in Nigeria like many people that I know without going to those countries. If we do, they will have no choice than to grant us visas when they see our intimidating profiles no matter previous ban. |

| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by amnotapervert(m): 8:28pm On Sep 22, 2025 |
Kolajero:I wanted to write a long note explaining Nigeria's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2010 vs 2024 compared to Canada in the same years, but I deleted it all—why bother? Some people’s minds are already made up, even when facts are presented. But hey, what do I know? Keep in mind, Canada isn’t heaven—it has its own challenges and issues. Still, truth be told, with the way things are currently going in Nigeria, it could take 30 years to fix just 8 years of Buhari’s government, not even counting the failures of previous governments. As sad as it is, Nigeria will likely never be great in our lifetime. I’m speaking from facts, not emotions—I have the numbers to back it up. Nigeria’s 5-year ban issue is not just a “so what” situation. But again, what do I know? Even if I provide facts, links, articles, and personal research about PPP (Purchasing Power Parity), GDP, and GDP per capita (PPP) for Nigeria vs Canada from 2010 to 2024, I’m still seen as a clown who doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Most people won’t even read it, so why bother? These are the same people who will pay a Facebook visa agent 5 million naira for a visitor’s visa—hahaha. They can’t even read the actual process of applying for a visitor’s visa, and they don’t have the real Proof of Funds (POF). |

amnotapervert:but I feel like as long as he doesn't apply directly to Canada unless he is obsessed with Canada, he can still leave Nigeria to other countries as long as he doesn't give up. He can still Japa to other countries not necessarily Canada though. But I have seen some people who were deported from Canada gone back to Canada for visit after serving their ban |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by amnotapervert(m): 3:29pm On Sep 23, 2025 |
hammed71:Don’t mix them up: Deportation is different from a 5-year visa ban for misrepresentation (e.g., fake proof of funds, fake employment, fake tax returns, etc.). Deportation Order : You are permanently barred from Canada. To ever return, you must apply for an Authorization to Return to Canada (ARC) and convince IRCC that your return is justified. Legal representation is usually required, and the process is costly. 5-Year Visa Ban (for misrepresentation): You do not need legal representation to reapply after the ban expires. However, it’s very difficult to succeed, because you must convince the visa officer that the misrepresentation leading to the ban was a mistake/ you have changed your old ways or will not be repeated. |

DEAR GUYS WHO KNOW THE TIMELESS OF GMDS OR RECONSIDERATION EMAIL, |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by princejeto: 5:19am On Sep 24, 2025 |
amnotapervert:The only thing that causes a ban for Canada is usually the statement of account. Canada has no agreement with firs to confirm your tax or check how much tax you pay. Also, they can't prove your employment. Once you use a fake statement of account, that is where you get into trouble. Most people make up their employment by paying themselves or have a company pay them. If the organization is not active on CAC, they refuse the visa instantly but can't claim you are not employed. Once you submit an e tax clearance certificate, it confirms you pay tax but they can't confirm how much you pay as tax. Don't ever doctor your POF. They will surely know and you will get a ban |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by amnotapervert(m): 3:45pm On Sep 24, 2025 |
princejeto:On Telegram, I paid to be in a private group chat where I saw all kinds of fake documents. The so-called Facebook/Telegram agents in that group use the same templates for most people—they just edit the names. I won’t mention the name of the group, but I’ve seen every type of document. I was once kicked out for pointing out that an “Asylum Claim – Case Type 28” means the worker has very limited rights and is vulnerable to exploitation. In that group, they promise everything—changing a visitor visa to a work visa—but they never mention that it’s actually done through an asylum claim. Once you arrive in Canada, they remove you from the group and add you to another. I know what I’m talking about. They use the same fake documents for many people—fake tax returns, fake marriage certificates, fake employment letters, and fake proof of funds (POF). IRCC can easily catch this because when they request additional documents, the fraud becomes obvious, and the applicant gets banned. A few people are lucky and slip through, but most are caught. Yes, fake POF is the most common, but the crazy part is that this system keeps going. I’ve decided to stay quiet in that Telegram group because I was kicked out the last time I spoke up. But I’m still watching and learning new tricks every day. People don’t realize the scale of this madness. That’s why genuine visa applicants are angry—because fraudulent agents are flooding the system with fake applications for people who don’t even qualify. |

| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by olasubomy: 8:58am On Sep 25, 2025 |
Judawoo:Scan through the first five pages; you should see the reviewing officer's notes. Then, keep scrolling down bit by bit before getting to the last pages; the Senior immigration officer's notes should be there. You need to take the time to look at the pages one by one. At least two people review a visa application: the officer in charge of the file and the Senior immigration officer. |

| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Teslas: 7:18pm On Sep 25, 2025 |
Judawoo:Yes, reconsideration was sent on Sept. 5, and reconsideration was sent to the officer on Sept. 10, and there has been no update from them since. But, it was mentioned in the mail that if the officer deems it fit to reopen the file, then further mail will be sent, and if not, then there won't be any further mail from them. |

Judawoo:Has anyone noticed that most applications are pushed to Lagos these days. Lagos seems to be refusing people at this time. Reconsiderations are sent to the office that originally processed your application |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by olasubomy: 6:09am On Sep 26, 2025 |
Judawoo:Quick question: What was the account balance on the date of application submission? Was it $35KCAD How much was declared in the application to be set aside for the trip? Regarding concerns about the purpose of the visit, did you submit a well-explained letter with a clear purpose (Itinerary) of what your brother intends to do in the intended province? Places he plans to visit and explain why he is embarking on this trip now. Something like that. I think the officer was not convinced about something. You guys would need to take your time to analyse and review what was submitted. I know it involves a lot of thought process. |

Seriously, this refusal makes no sense. How many Canadians can boast of a US$7,500 monthly salary? The way some of these immigration officers treat visa applications is as if Canada is heaven. I see this person as someone coming to spend money in Canada and will not be a burden. My advise is for the applicant to ask for a reconsideration and request for GCMS notes. Telling someone with a salary of US$7,500 that they have no sufficient fund is rubbish. There are a lot of better countries than Canada. You not coming to Canada for vacation is a loss to Canada. | Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by olasubomy: 3:50pm On Sep 26, 2025 |
Judawoo:If the balance was $35K as of the submission date, you can't declare the same amount as being available for the trip, as the officer won't expect your brother to empty his account on a vacation trip. E,g a fraction of that or less should be more than sufficient for a two-week trip. $10,000, for example, should be adequate. You also mentioned that more money was added. Was this an inflow from normal salary payment, or were funds moved from a separate account? A lump sum can be an issue for them if not adequately explained, but if these came through regular income earned from employment, then it is fine. My little experience with these guys is that they are not moved by bogus cash, but the application has to be packaged convincingly. As a Togolese on a Nigerian work permit, I hope he is not close to his expiry date and has been working in Nigeria for a good period of time to demonstrate his establishment there. Your brother has a good job and profile. The application needs to be reviewed again with a well-explained letter. He has good chances; some homework needs to be done. If you patiently take your time to look at it again, I am sure you will see some things to improve. All the best! |
