I never properly watched Pokémon, an episode today two the following week and so on, back then I didn't know anime was a thing and I've been itching for a proper watch for a while now. Which do you guys think will slap harder dub or sub? (The few episodes I saw back then were always dubbed)

dubbed and subbed have different names for the Characters and Pokémon, with Ash being called Satoshi in Japanese. The dub is more popular because even the games use the English naming for the Pokémon

Do the games use the English naming or only the games released outside Japan? He's most likely named Satoshi in the Japanese version of the games as well, but we don't realize this because we don't read kanji.

So I tried the dubbed and I was surprised it didn't irritate my ears the ways all dubbed anime usually makes me pissed. So I'll be alternating between sub and dub every 10 or so episodes.

There are actually anime that are better experienced in dub.
For example, if you ever get around to watching Black Lagoon, make sure you watch the dub.

Sadly I've already watched it in sub. I'd rewatch but the MC was pathetic in every way.
