I witnessed his reign as governor and the people loved him back then that’s why people are happy he’s back as king.

We’ve been anticipating his succession for years. No be today we know say he Dey in line to the throne.

It's because you don't know how it's done. You think it's about queuing.... The chieftaincy rotates through all the compounds in Ibadan and there is no compound in Ibadan that never or won't taste the title of Olubadan. So that's how it is.

If you were a student of history, you should know the people that abolished the regional government which made western region the most developed region and Ibadan was one of the most developed part of Nigeria……but their greed and covetousness overwhelmed them, but they are now the ones crying for balkanisation of the country grin

Why change a working system, or are the indigenes complaining
Already families have been proffering solutions by appointing young ones to the Mogaji position which is the starting point of the kingship line
Besides with the chieftaincy review which though Ladoja initially rejected but later accepted has elevated the throne and everyone is happy

Not necessarily, you don't curse or undermine the throne.
That's why the reform was necessary
When the 11 High chiefs were elevated to Oba status from the previous designation as high chiefs they are very happy and the agitation to become Olubadan became less fierce as the chiefs now have kingship status

there is nothing like politics in Ibadan kingship. Go and study thier ascension process cos it is the best in south west outside inheritance. Don't come and be spewing rubbish.
