9. “And We have made your sleep as a thing for rest.
10. And We have made the night as a covering (through its darkness),
11. And We have made the day for livelihood”
[al-Naba’ 78:9-11].

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

“ And We have made your sleep as a thing for rest ” means: to put an end to tiredness, because sleep puts an end to that which comes before it of tiredness, and a person renews his energy thereby for what lies ahead. Hence you see that if a man becomes tired and sleeps, he is refreshed and his energy is renewed.

This is a blessing and it is also one of the signs of Allaah, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And among His Signs is your sleep by night and by day, and your seeking of His Bounty”
[al-Room 30:23].

“ And We have made the day for livelihood ” i.e., living whereby people seek their provision according to their status and circumstances. This is the blessing of Allaah upon His slaves.

Comes easy for someone like me. I wonder why some have to ingest tablets to find sleep

The fact that you are able to sleep well at night without issues or without any medication, it's a feature you have to thank Allaah for. Alhamdulillaah.

Some people will choose to sleep when they are dead. Why practice death when alive? Say no to sleeping. Maybe sleeping is a means to live forever... If it's not why waste the time. This applies to adults and not growing children.

It's truly a blessing because I've not had good night rest for the past 5days now and I feel so unwell..

But even at sleep i no dey rest,.I always find myself doing a lot of things i was doing before i went to bed

Sleeping is a powerful medication....it cures many ailments just like a reboot fix your system issues

Waking up is another blessing on its own.
Not everyone who sleeps, wakes up.

Insomnia na ya mate?
Extremes of emotional turbulence, nai go make you nor sleep.

When we are young, parent forced us to go sleep and we see it as punishment. As we got older, we are lucky to find time to sleep, without the burden of the world.

Yes indeed it is. If Konji hold u well well just do anything to force urself sleep and by the time you wake up, the Konji is gone 😂. For me I just jog for 45mins come back and dose off, while some take drugs to fall asleep, I do it legit 🦅
