Commentor:At least Americans dont buy to power generator. They dont need to install expensive solar. Let me give u my day to day hustle: I have gen for my two busineses. I had two gen for my apartments. I had to install 5kva sola to power my apartments and u know how much that cost, right? I had to buy fuel for my two businesses, fuel my car. That is a great burden. U take tax from me, yet I had to dig bore hole, I had to fuel generator, i dont have stable electricity except i either install expensive solar system or fuel generator, I had to deal with insecurity by paying for estate security, I dont have any health care benefits, I had to sort that out my self. So, I ask, what exactly is the tax for? The roads are bad for my car. I struggle while driving as pot holes are so normal everywhere in Nigeria. So, the billions are for politicians to create mouth watering packages for them selves? |

They keep collecting taxes from everyone yet average Nigerians working legally can’t even boast of 3 square meals ,no infrastructure in hospitals ,schools ,on the road etc . And they are still planning to collect more taxes next year from all Nigerians who have a bank accounts . Tinubu is a devils advocate |

Openyamind111:I'm telling you! A lot of people would think these are free money collected from these companies, where as, it's actually money from Nigerians as these guys add the FG VAT on their checkout and Nigerians pay for it. Nigerians are taxed across all their livelihoods. Airtime, data, fuel, online purchases, personal income, business income, properties, vehicles, food. What's remaining is to tax us for being Nigerians. |

This country is making so much money yet the people are suffering and even being taxed harder. On the other hand, salaries of politicians are being increased. This is wickedness. |

DaddyGoo:We are being ruled by men who dines with the devil. Any politicians that find himself in the seat of power believes it's his turn claim his birthright from the country vault. That iss what brought about that pallant EMILOKAN(It is my turn) by Tinubu. As far as this government is still in circle of this known old politicians, the circle will continue with nothing to benefit the masses. |

1Alex:All these monies in naira is yet "pittance" for a nation as diversely populated as Nigeria... Remember the value of our currency is in the "mud" already... Just imagine that 40milluon adults in Nigeria (both formal, informal) earning a million monthly atleast (1million naira is about 600 dollars equivalent now)... We are talking 40 trillion monthly in salaries monthly atleast....just salaries... Many many andany other stuff that run an economy haven't even been considered... Oga... And then the FG is supposed to "coordinate" those many things in terms of spending... The "Pie" is damn too small for the nation... That's a major reason why people in government and positions of some"little" influence ,like even a manager of a small private company, steal recklessly... It isn't enough...it's not even basically okay to go around... The US has a budget of 800billion dollars for just defence...that's 1700 TRILLION naira atleast....for a year...in just the defense office .. Do you know how much the US spends in health and Agricultural subsidies in just 1 year? Another issue is our collective SCARCITY MINDSET as a nation... We should be more Abundant in our mentality...as a people... And as individuals too.. |

Metrofox:Nigeria is the 6th most populated nation in the world. 2 of the 5 ahead of her have more than 1.4 billion people each and lead her population by more than a billion people. They have also each lifted more than 100 million, or about half Nigeria's population out of poverty. China has specifically lifted 800M (EIGHT HUNDRED MILLION) people, or 4X Nigeria's population out of poverty. The other 3 have populations ranging between 270 and 345 million and lead Nigeria's "unsustainable population" with gaps ranging from 20-100 million people. How come Nigeria is devastatingly poorer than these countries?!! Or their larger populations are more sustainable than Nigeria's smaller one? Making excuses for nonsense! |
| Re: FG Collects N600bn VAT From Facebook, Amazon And Netflix by Metrofox(m): 4:24pm On Sep 26, 2025 |
DaddyGoo:there's a different between having a population and having a productive population. Nigeria's population is not productive and the mindset of the people can't make China work here. the Chinese were exporting rice when they couldn't eat it and here everyone is looking for designer hair, shoe and wine |

Metrofox:And it's who's fault? If not those same lazy and corrupt people and the governments they produce from amongst themselves! Follow good governance, we refuse and bury same on the altar of nepotism, tribe and cronyism. Only to come and start capping rubbish in defence of our failings which other countries could see and exploit, from as far back as a decade ago! |
