I remind the people of the Southwest that even when it was clear to the most biased and bigoted person that General Buhari had performed woefully, and had reduced the $510 billion economy he inherited from President Jonathan to less than half of that in 2019, Northern Nigeria did not abandon him.

They massively voted for him in 2019. Not only did Arewa not abandon him, but the Lukumi Yoruba of the Southwest proved to be dependable allies of the late Buhari. The Southwest gave 50% of their vote to General Buhari as against their in law, who was his main challenger.

Additionally, Buhari won in Lagos with 53% of the vote. He also won in every Southwestern state except Ondo and Oyo. With this in mind, the people of the Southwest should think hard and long. Then, they should ask themselves this question:

If the North did not abandon Buhari, who reduced Nigeria's GDP by more than 50%, why should they forsake President Bola Tinubu, who has expanded Nigeria's Gross Domestic Product from a ₦269.29 trillion economy on May 29, 2023, when Asiwaju became President, to ₦372.8 trillion today?

Nigeria under President Tinubu is progressing well, and even Northern Nigeria should return the loyalty that the Southwest showed to the North under Buhari.

This is especially when Arewa takes cognisance of the fact that more than 60% of President Tinubu's student loan beneficiaries are from the North. This is even as some of the most expensive projects being undertaken by the Tinubu administration are in Northern Nigeria, including

-The 1068-kilometre Illela-Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway for ₦13 trillion
-The Ajaokuta-Abuja-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline for $2.89 billion or ₦4.5 trillion
-The Kano-Kaduna rail line at a price of $1.2 billion or ₦2 trillion
-The 465-kilometre Trans-Saharan Road is being constructed at a price of an estimated $750 million or ₦1.2 trillion
-The Kaduna Light Rail Project at an initial price of ₦100 billion
-The ₦824 billion Sokoto-Zamfara-Katsina Road.

Not counting the Chief of Defence Staff, who is a Northerner, there are twenty Military, Security, Police and Law Enforcement agencies in Nigeria. And twenty-one men head these agencies. Out of those twenty-one, only five bodies are headed by the Southwest.

The bulk of that number rightfully goes to the Northwest, and that geopolitical zone also occupies the choicest portions. Then, consider the love, honour, and almost deification that President Tinubu bestowed on General Buhari in death.

Northern Nigeria should realise that there is life after 2027. If they do not show solidarity to President Tinubu in 2027, it will create distrust in Nigerian politics because Southern politicians will subsequently be hesitant to reach and stand by agreements reached with the North.

Vote for President Tinubu in 2027, and President Tinubu, God sparing his life, will ensure that power returns to Arewa in 2031, just as he did in 2015.

These kinds of warped senseless whip up of ethno-religio-regional bigotry and sentiments agenda are just because of political expediency,entitlement & expediency.

So the choice of political leadership of a nation is now based on this entitlement mentality that Nigeria is yet to recover from in the catastrophic Buhari and Tinubu led-APC governments.

The country support for any leader should be based on merit and national unity, not regional favoritism.

I don't know about other regions but Reno Omokri is a persona non grata to Northerners. He simply doesn't exist to the average Northerner. His words are as consequential as water off a whale's back. He comes highly rated among the Lukumis though.

Clearly, half of the SW is still not with Tinubu. It became clearer yesterday in Ibadan. The attempts to use ethnic sentiments to rile up votes might backfire if not well handled. SW voters are the most enlightened.

One thing many Nigerians don't know is, the bad things you support and encourage today, will always affect you 2morrow. Directly or indirectly.

Let's take an example: years back, boys were busy kidnapping foreigners, many people see nothing wrong in it. Some were even justifying it that white are benefiting from our oil and taking our jobs. Today, who are the boys kidnapping? Is it not we same Nigerians?

When Boko Haram started, their major targets were christians. What was the Muslim saying then? Today what is the scores? Is it only the christians that they are killing?

The same thing is happening in our political space and some are busy clapping and supporting.

He was quick to state that PMB halved the $510 billion economy he inherited in 2015, but disingenuously failed to state unquivocally that now under PBAT, it stands at approximately $188 billion. Besides, contrary to his assertion, Nigeria economy then stood at $561 billion approximately.

That said, PBAT is doing his best, and Nigeria will soon attain its full great potential. To lead has never been an easy task.

This thing has no shame at all, promoting ethnic divide in your own country and still call yourself a human, this ugly situation doesn't know what it takes to be human, tue!!

In one sentence he dissed the north and south west for rallying round buhari who underperform and again still want the same people to repeat the same feat again. So in essence the north and south west peeps should normalize rewarding underperformers.

Buhari reduced the GDP of the country, out of loyalty, they voted for him again, and now you want the north to do the same by voting Tinubu the way the Yorubas voted for Buhari . My question, is Nigeria doing well under APC. should we continue with this mentality of loyalty while the country sink or vote for competence?
