This post is about a historical event, the crowning of a prestigious personality, the Olubadan - Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, in the wonderful, historical city of Ibadan. Why bring the biography of President Tinubu into the discourse?

Tinubu will be so happy today.
Seeing one of his long term friend becoming King in a highly populated state like Oyo State.

Both Tinubu and Oba Ladoja were together in the Senate .
Both were elected governors in 2003.
Both stood up against Obasanjo s evil 3rd term agenda, Tinubu survived but Ladoja was defeated and impeached before supreme court nullified his impeachment.

Oba Ladoja confidently told Tinubu before 2023 presidential election that, Ibadan is for Tinubu.
Both respect each other very much.

What do you mean retired politicians, bringing disdain to the system??
If you are from Ibadan, you can also become a king, no particular ruling house, just walk through your immediate family to the top, and if fate smiles on you, you can become one before leaving the earth
It's not a throne they submit 2 or 3names for some kingmakers or gov to select from

Olubadan Stool is not hereditary neither is it a Royal Family line. It is a selection from a list of High Chiefs of Ibadan Land that moved from Mogaji of Households to become a beaded chief in the Ascension line. Also, there are two angles that are being coronated in strict order

Egbe Agba (Council/Conclave of the Elders)
Egbe Aja'gun (Council/Conclave of the Warriors)

The late Olubadan was from Egbe Aja'gun

Oba Ladoja is from Egbe Agba.

He will live long; but the NEXT OLUBADAN OF IBADAN LAND has known himself and he is coming from the Conclave/Council of the Warriors

I give it to them in culture,tradition and socialisation.

When Obasanjo unlawfully removed him as governor, it was Tinubu who arranged a legal team for him to reclaim his seat from Akala, and Fashola was part of that team.
