There is no black market in reality. It is unofficial market and the rates are almost the same. It is like buying bitcoin at Binance and OKX, there will always be slight differences in price. But arbitrage is almost completely eliminated because of narrow differences in price. You have access to official price if you have the documents. You don’t need much documentation at unofficial market.

In as much as you have a valid point, our political elites and even government run entities are not fairing better,take for example nnpc, monopoly is far better than total starvation

You can talk about how under PDP Naira was N200 or less to dollar, and I can tell you of the days when naira was N6 to one dollar, and most peiople were still suffering then.

Yes, even tinubu now is not doing anything...N1300 represents a economy dependent on oil, not a serious economy. When we are ready to vote leaders who will emphasize industrialization, and scientific investigation as the basis of our economy, it will take time, but we will see N1 being equal to 1 dollar.

You see the way the country is structured, it will take a very long time to get to that level. The country has been schemed in such a way that religious, ethnic, money and tribals bias are still very sting players in our politics and you know that is the specialty of the politicians.

The net foreign reserves refers to the actual amount of forex the central bank has access to, and not just the entire figure which can be misleading.
