Did you know that even after the September 11, 2001 plane hijacking incident that happened in New York City, USA where almost 3000 people died, there have been other cases of hijacking still going on but at minor scale?

The event of September 11 has helped tremendously to tighten security in the aviation industry, thus hijackers find it difficult to break through.

But before 2001, cases of plane hijacking were common as terrorists preferred to take their fight to the skies.

History cannot be eroded.

That's a fantastic timeline of some aircraft hijacked right from 1970 by terror groups with Islamist affiliations in the Middle East. Counter terrorism measures have since scaled up with the 9/11 episode in 2001 who stunned me as I watched the scenes occur live on TV. NOW, there is NO more ABSOLUTE privacy as everyone is being watched in order to deter real terror gangs from further causing chaos. There are items you cannot even bring onboard a flight as they are deemed to be potentially dangerous.
