Israel PM Netanyahu Slams Western Countries In UN Address For Embracing Palestinian Statehood

Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has sharply denounced Western countries for embracing Palestinian statehood, accusing them of sending a message that "murdering Jews pays off."

Speaking at the ongoing United Nations General Assembly, Netanyahu pushed back against diplomatic moves by leading US allies that have deepened Israel's international isolation over its conduct of a nearly two-year-old war against Hamas militants in Gaza which have left over 65,000 Palestinians dead mostly women and children.

Meanwhile, this came as some members of the UN General Assembly exited the hall as Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu approached the podium.

"This week, the leaders of France, Britain, Australia, Canada, and other countries unconditionally recognised a Palestinian state. They did so after the horrors committed by Hamas on October 7 – horrors praised on that day by nearly 90% of the Palestinian population," Netanyahu said as quoted by The Guardian.

"You know what message the leaders who recognise the Palestinian state this week sent to the Palestinians? It's a very clear message: murdering Jews pays off."

In an unprecedented operation, Israeli military loudspeaker systems broadcast Netanyahu's speech into Gaza, prompting controversy and outrage.

An Israeli government spokesperson said the prime minister's office directed civilian elements to place loudspeakers on trucks at the Israeli side of the Gaza border to broadcast the speech.

The statement read: “As part of the public diplomacy effort, the prime minister’s office has directed civilian elements, in cooperation with the [Israel Defense Forces], to place loudspeakers on the backs of trucks on the Israeli side of the Gaza border so that prime minister Netanyahu’s historic UN general assembly speech will be heard in the Gaza Strip.”

In addition to the speaker systems, Netanyahu’s office claimed that the Israeli military had taken control of the telephones of Gaza residents “and Hamas members” to broadcast the speech – though there was no evidence from within the devastated Palestinian territory this actually took place.

“The prime minister has appealed to the residents of Gaza and made it clear that the war could end immediately upon the return of the hostages, the disarming of Hamas and the demilitarisation of the Strip … [and] stressed that whoever does so will live while those who do not will be hunted,” the government statement said.

Netanyahu also called on the world to prevent Iran from rebuilding its nuclear and military programs.

"We removed an existential threat to Israel, and a mortal threat to the civilised world. We lifted a dark cloud that could have claimed millions and millions of lives, but ladies and gentlemen, we must remain vigilant," he said.

"We must not allow Iran to rebuild its military nuclear capacities, Iran's stockpile of enriched uranium. These stockpiles must be eliminated, and tomorrow, UN Security Council sanctions on Iran must be snapped back,"
he added.

The situation in Gaza remains dire, with residents saying conditions are getting worse. Hundreds of thousands have been displaced, and others have stayed put despite Israeli evacuation orders, citing fears about security and hunger.

Israel has announced that while its Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, was speaking at the United Nations General Assembly, it took over the phones of Gaza residents and Hamas members.

"In an unprecedented action, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a live broadcast from the UN building in New York, has announced that the IDF took control of the telephones of Gaza residents and Hamas members, and that his speech is now being broadcast live via the telephones," Israel posted on X on Friday.

The statement further read that "the PM appealed to the residents of Gaza and made it clear that the war could end immediately upon the return of the hostages, the disarming of Hamas and the demilitarisation of the Strip."

"PM Netanyahu stressed that whoever does so will live while those who do not will be hunted."

Earlier on Friday, SaharaReporters reported that a dramatic scene unfolded at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) as several delegates walked out in protest when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stepped up to the podium.

The Israeli leader, who is under an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for war crimes and genocide in Gaza, pressed ahead with his address to the 80th session of the UNGA amid the visible boycott.

The walkout underscored deep divisions within the international community over Israel’s ongoing war in Gaza, which has entered its eleventh month.

Since October 2023, Israeli forces have conducted an extensive military campaign in the enclave following Hamas’ surprise attacks that killed more than 1,200 people in southern Israel.

Gaza’s health ministry reports that over 40,000 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have been killed, with widespread destruction of homes, schools, hospitals, and vital infrastructure.

Netanyahu has consistently defended Israel’s actions as necessary for “eradicating Hamas” and ensuring Israel’s security.

However, critics argue that the disproportionate use of force amounts to collective punishment of Gaza’s 2.3 million residents.

Humanitarian agencies, including the UN, have warned of famine, mass displacement, and catastrophic civilian suffering.

It changes nothing. As long as big brother is still in support of the criminal Netanyahu

Someone that doesn't even care about the hostages. He is all about the greater Israel project supported by the likes of Ben Gvir and the other criminal Smotrich.

He knows that if he loses the support of those far right lunatics, he is done for.

I pity the hostages though ... they probably think he cares.

Meanwhile.... God punish hamas for killing innocent civilians.

He is a good President to his people and nation and that's all that matters. The fight for survival is brutal, dogs don't eat dogs is a complete myth especially if the other dog is ready to kill you.

It's like war stories I have heard from a favorite uncle, it's either you kpai your enemies or be kpaid.

In the quest for peace, what guarantees does Israel have about such events not occurring again? These countries slamming him don't really have an idea, even northerners in Nigeria are well informed now.

I really think Hamas and this Palestinian shite is way out of proportion. Looking at what Islam is doing in Europe and their consistent request for sharia and overlooking other people's culture and ways of life, I think Israel must be right about the two state solution.

Israel is fighting what the rest of the world misunderstand. Spread of Islam is coming with heavy emotional propaganda.

If you listen to Netanyahu speak, you will hear a reasonable Prime Minister speaking. His love for his people is number one. If you don't love your people, that is your own custard rubber of sh1t.

Satanyahu remember your days on this planet earth are numbered because the number of years you have lived, you can not get to live same number of years again. Tread with caution. You're going to appear before your Lord to account for the massacre and suffering you meted on innocent Palestinians.

Hommie pained!

These fake Jews need to know they have become outcasts.

It’s just a matter of time. Palestine will emerge from the river to sea, and tourist will start flooding Palestine to see what’s left after the genocide.

Palestine has won the heart of many. Their struggle and perseverance in the face of the bully has strengthened many.

A free Palestine would come.

Don't mind him. For 7 decades they killed and took over their lands.
They were killing hundreds every week for decades even before Oct 7.
Just imagine 7 decades.

Truth brother. Yes israel must stop killing civilians and children but must rid that area from the wicked ideology of calling people infidels and all that.

Look at UK. It's firmly sliding towards sharia. Guess who's doing that?!

They keep talking about October 7 but will never mentioned what happened prior to that time.

They talk about hostages but forget Israel has thousands of Palestinians in camps facing harsh conditions and abuse.

October 7 my foot!

Which human on Earth won’t fight back after all the genocide prior to October 7. Were they expecting flowers and red wine.
