I know this narrative is pushed by some stiupeed security operatives on Wike's payroll. For the records, to 'launder' money means to attempt to transmit ILLEGALLY obtained funds into lawful financial systems. Emphasis here is on illegally acquired funds. So when these fools throws the term money laundering about carelessly, discerning people should always be quick to ask them for evidence (even if anecdotal) to suggest that the origin of the funds is illegal. You cannot be implying money laundering when a self employed businessman with a publishing company like Sowore, who has never obviously held any public office or dealt with public funds, is spending money on his child's school fees. On the contrary, we can imply money laundering when characters like Wike, or the Police IGP, or ANY civil servant or public servant in Nigeria who has spent their entire adult lives in salaried public positions now have millions of dollars in assets. This is common sense. |
