Federal govt has no jurisdiction to grant planning permission over that land. Once any land in a state owned by federal government is used for anything other than the purpose for which the land was given to the FG, the approval must be granted by the state. This is a Supreme Court ruling!

Why not enact measures that will make igbos nut fall prey to predators. This type of statements encourages the predators to act more. Igbos should collaborate and either build a maritime port in Abia or onitsha and follow it up promptly with massive investment in the east, which by the way is happening in Aba that has massive improvement in electricity.

The relocation of big markets like computer village to st Micheal's rd Aba and Emeka offor Plaza in onitsha to serve as hubs.

The spare parts markets should go to alaoji in Aba and mgbuka in Nnewi.

Aba is already the hub for textiles and leather products in Africa while onitsha market should be upgraded with a 12 lane business boulevard that will host warehouses on either side of the road.

Let myopic Yorubas force them back to the SE just to win elections.

In 30 years time, we'll be hearing about federal interventions to address imbalance in geopolitical economic development like we have today in education as evidenced by Educationally disadvantaged states and the federal character principle that enthrones regional representation over merit and qualifications.

This battle is over before it even started.

Have u ever seen me say lagos is not SW in any of my post.For free I don't want anything to do with it.It is the only developed state in SW because it enjoys monopoly.
I will rather invest in abj and SE.
The government is doing well.let them bring many more down. Let the loss increase seriously for them to learn.Then the newer generation will now have sense

I have said this thing before, there is no construction, renovation whether from foundation or roof level in Lagos state that the government does not know about, if you think I am lying, just go to any part of Lagos and observe any building that starts construction if that building will not get a notice on it in less than a week from the government.

So for the same government to come and declare so many buildings that have been existing for years or buildings that got notice from them with some form of approval afterwards to be illegal is laughable at the same time annoying.

All lands in the state are owned by the state government and it is only the state government that can grant approvals and CofO.

When the federal government left Lagos, a lot of lands allocated to the Federal Government in Lagos where either commandeered by officers illegally if they find out it was allocated to their ministry or sold by Omonile.

Always do a search of the land and that way you measure the risk you are taking and decide what kind of structure to put up.

The fact they are saying FG means they don’t have legitimate approval on the land.

I've done business and stayed in trade fair multiple times, and I can tell you that Igbos are going too far with their kind of investment.

Why must they put up that kind of structure outside of South east??

why not hurry up and leave. Where you guys not crying when lagospedia said you guys should relocate back to south east. Lagos will remain the biggest commercial hub and the entertainment center of Nigeria till the world ends. Which foriegners will leave Lagos and go to the east and invest and live there.

The internal motive is very simple. It's their land. Nobody will be complaining if Enugu or Benue Governors are doing theirs. You want to do whatever you like, go back to your land and I'm sure you won't be able to do as you want . Let Lagos breathe.
