amaridigital:go back to your state, go back to your land. Can you guys also say go back to your country? Im sincerely sick and tired of this fake one Nigeria we are deceiving ourselves with. One minute it's one Nigeria, the next minute it's go back to your state. I only blame those who after this provocation still invests massively in a place they are not welcomed. |

owobokiri:U got it.let have different countries and deny anyone u don't want coming into ur country. Not when u say one nigeria. Then u create monopoly of sea port, airport to ur region to force other regions to come to ur state for business because they have limited choice. U have made other ports not fully functional because of ur policies and lack of funding/upgrading. U used bureaucratic bottle necks to make sure some ports don't ever come alive like the case of Akwaibom deep sea port |

i laugh hard reading this.Get notice from where? To get banner for building approval take approximate 2/3 months if u were lucky,1 month.Let those owners of the building pro ide that first. Some of this people cut corners/settled those boys that carry black/Red spray and assured them PEACE OF MIND until the Right /same pipu show face and give u STOP WORK PERMIT . Once u enter any Gov agencies/office, you'll see them. They can even produce C/O sharp sharpBrendaniel: |

LZAA:let over half of Igbo businesses relocate out of lagos today. The state becomes like one of thr regular SW state that I have been to all. Tell me any igbo billionaire leaving in any SW state besides lagos today. It is just the monopoly of things that is keeping them thr. The state that is not ment for humans to live with the over crowded places and smells |

Streetinvestor2:the northern leaders over the years created the mess we are experiencing today. They ensured all major FG investments coming to the southern Nigeria are domiciled in Lagos just to incapacitate the Igbos. Today Lagos and Yorubas are reaping the benefit. |

This coming after they set mandilas on fire confirms that there's a strategic plan to emasculate the Igbo economy in Lagos. |

Brendaniel:You either didn't read this article we'll or you missed some information on it. When I saw the demolition, I thought the same way. I was wondering why Lagos State Government allowed the approval and development of the buildings in the first place but the hidden truth lies in this article. Obviously, the developers of those properties dealt and got the land acquisition and building permits through the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex Management Board (LITFCMB). They developers also felt the LITFCMB is an agency of a Federal Ministry, hence Federal Government. Lagos State government must have communicated the disapproval to the developers but they must have insisted on continuing the projects even when Lagos state government is against it but they were relying on the authority of the LITFCMB. What they chose to ignore is that the land and properties in Lagos are under the control and powers of Lagos State Government. LITFCMB is subject to the Lagos State government and the Authority of Lagos State government is superior to the authority of LITFCMB. Besides, why didn't the igbo developers invest these funds in developing properties and land in the South East? Why the constant focus on investment in Lagos, yet when they encounter challenges, they want to blame the government of Lagos State. |

Wallade:I read the article, so what exactly is the fault of the owners for the demolition? |

MaziObinnaokija:And the same government is not interested in arresting and prosecuting those spoiling the name of the government, the are only after those who own the properties. Is the government not interested in having a good name? |

Did you not know South Africans and yorubas are the same? Xenophobia, tribalísm Go to your country, go to your region Oyinbos are their Masters, one man is their master Envy, jealousy runs deep in both Bitterness and pain causes psychological turmoil in both On top of all that, inferiority complex becomes the driving force behind their underdevelopment. |

Wallade:The question is why did the Lagos state government leave them to build for years and stop any construction from going on? Why wait till people have built before coming to destroy? |
| Re: Tradefair Complex: South East Group Condemns LASG ‘Invasion’. by onuman: 4:39pm On Sep 28, 2025 |
lakefist:Unregulated buildings? No Igbo can build in Lagos without authorisation from LASG. Only proceeds from crude oil and gas in the southeast and southsouth hold SW and North with the Igbo in one country Unfortunately, cash from crude oyel and gas is no more enough to run Nigeria. It's going to a Trillion Naira of Igbo landed property and businesses destroyed in Lagos since Tinubu government of vendetta started. |

Barrywilly:Lagos not part of Nigeria, and citizens are not free to trade there? Who says you are not free to trade at Upper Eweka, Onitsha ,if you have the means?? The problem with many of you is lack of exposure and tribalism. Unfortunately, many of you are not original Lagos protegy. The real indigenes don't talk this way. How could you be happy seeing one's investment destroyed in a jiffy because of political differences ![]() Haba! |

Brendaniel:Illegality overtime will never be legal. Having said that place was never sold to them. Neither did they buy the land nor get approval from the appropriate quarters. Few weeks ago a young Ibo guy did a video about the activities going on there stating that this is not an estate but warehouses. See what Ibo's are doing in Lagos. I knew from that very moment the authority will act in a decisive manner. Federal government Agent can't dash out Lagos State land to a particular group or section of the country. It was Lagos State that accommodated spare part dealers that were previously on Lagos Island there when they decided to leave. Most of these things are usually facilitated by Ibo's. The relocation from Computer was mooted by Ibo's. Ibo leaders will want to take control of Ibo dominated market through relocation. They will look for the land and approach the State Government. After the government buy in. They will mobilise funds for building and the rest. But what they will fail to do is outright buy out as you cannot buy out a Market it is a government property. You can only get an allocation which will be subjects to the Governments decisions, policy and future ambition. |
