You also mentioned that more money was added. Was this an inflow from normal salary payment, or were funds moved from a separate account? A lump sum can be an issue for them if not adequately explained, but if these came through regular income earned from employment, then it is fine. My little experience with these guys is that they are not moved by bogus cash, but the application has to be packaged convincingly.

As a Togolese on a Nigerian work permit, I hope he is not close to his expiry date and has been working in Nigeria for a good period of time to demonstrate his establishment there.

Your brother has a good job and profile. The application needs to be reviewed again with a well-explained letter. He has good chances; some homework needs to be done. If you patiently take your time to look at it again, I am sure you will see some things to improve.

You are right using the new portal with a US visa, without US visa using the new portal is hard. I also know someone who has a US visa and used the new portal yet was refused just last month, I don't just understand frankly.. I feel it's just depends on the Visa officer. Usually the old GC key works better.

Honestly nobody knows the rules, imagine 3 refusals with US visa, and my sister is a citizen, Canada visit visa no sure for anybody

Old portal or new portal, those who will be denied will still be denied, and those who qualify for the visa will get the visa.

We have been refused Canadian Visit Visa in 2019, 2020 and 2024. Finally my wife and i have been approved.

Timeline: submitted on Sept 7th 2025, i have a biometric from my application from 2019

1) SOP
2) invitation letter from my sister
3) my sister and her husband Canadian passport, thier utility bill
4) I have a valid 5 years USA visa with Schengen , Expired UK visa and other travel history to the USA (This is my 5th US visa)
5) Letter of introduction from my office and my wife’s office
6) Letter from the member of parliament in my sister area in Canada
7) bank statement: 17k Euros and 10k USD
Money market: 54M naira and 50k USD
9) E- tax certificate

The TCC is not compulsory, the E tax certificate is that plastic card issued by LIRS.

I have seen such case so many times, most of these embassies will most likely denied you if you submit huge account statement.

Its not the latest one, and not the GCkey one, their is pne called portal , bro at first i thought i was blacklisted because i cant understand how they keep bouncing me with valid US visa . We just need to get GCMS notes and addressing thier concerns

It’s my first time looking into my tax, never really bothered about it before. Please how does one get this etax certificate, also does it show records of tax till date ?

The TCC should be enough for tax records and only reveal the tax remitted for prior years. That of the current year won't be reflected until annual returns are filed in 2026 and the tax authorities update the employees' records based on their individual Tax Payer IDs.

You don't need to worry about current-year tax as your payslip shows you are still employed, and your salary still passes the standard payroll system. The same applies in Canada, as annual returns are filed with CRA based on tax deducted from employees and remitted by the employer in the prior year.

TCC is not a mandatory document, as Hayatou 27 has mentioned, but there is no harm in adding it if, in your judgment, it strengthens your home ties.

Your e tax certificate is okay but if you dont have , get tax receipt from your employer that deduct your taxes, and if you are a business owner, you will have to do direct assessment with LIRS and they advise on how much to pay.

Reapplying, I attached it with various evidence of marriage.
Now, there excuse is I do not have access to my own funds I was shocked
I didn't just have money stuck up, I perform and run the account so well.
I attached bank statement of my wife with over $55,000 and my own Balance which is super over my wife Balance. But instead they said over $100k is insufficient for a 3 weeks visit?
I'm worried my wife has no one to stay with her during this surgery, in fact the Canadian Govt. has spent over $1million on her health.
I am forced to believe these guys do not really pay attention to Visit Visa Application.
These guys has no human feeling even for genuine family, I have not seen my daughter ever she was born, her mom which is my wife is going in for one of the most complex surgery you can ever think of..

my brother same refusal I got with 35k usd bank statement and earn 9500usd as seaman! I asked for 10 days only , refusal no accès of the fund and insufficient fund with 3 Schengen visa! They are not serious! Try to send reconsideration through webform to see

I would have suggested a "Letter of Reconsideration", but since this has no timeframe and it is unclear if the officer would consider re-opening the file, the best approach would be to reapply, but let your next application show more details explaining each of the officers' concerns under subheadings. Plan to include a detailed letter of explanation to be uploaded to the "Additional Document section"

Additional points may be the need to travel back with your wife and kid against your planned exit date in case of the need for further care.

2. Your Current employment situation does not show that you are financially established in your country of residence. Politely state what you earn annually and break it down monthly ( for each amount in Naira, also state the equivalent in CAD). Refer the officer to the attached salary bank statement and recent copies of the payroll slip, Promotion Letters if applicable. You can also obtain a bank reference letter and my bank statement certificate. In this section, state the amount you have set aside, leaving an extra buffer in cash in case of unforeseen contingencies. The amount indicated as being set aside should tally with what you fill out on the IRCC Portal questionnaire. Don't forget to always refer them to where the supporting document is uploaded.

3. Your Assets and Financial Situation do not show you are financially established: Refer them to the section above and re-state where they can find these supporting documents. If you have any property in your name. Attach it as well.

4. You have significant Family Ties in Canada: I have my wife and kid in Canada, but I have no economic or financial situation that would compel me to remain in Canada. My source of income from employment is from [state full name of company and where it is located ] located in Nigeria, which requires physical presence based on my position and responsibilities to oversee these critical functions in the office. You can have a trusted friend or professional review the letter with you repeatedly before you upload it to submit.

Submitting too many documents is not a good sign and also getting so much refusal doesn't look good for future application.

I am saying this from experience as I got a visa approval today. I applied 4th September did biometrics 8th September. I used my savings account as POF Wic I transferred 15m into a week before application making 17m in total.
Few days back I asked a question on this forum if I can send additional documents through web form to explain source of funds but no one responded but I did anyway on the 22nd September and got a message on 26th that they recieved them.
I am a first time applicant, I applied before stumbling on this forum and realized my supporting documents were insufficient…had to send more documents through the web form twice within the waiting period.

For the question “Have you been refused a visa or permit, denied entry to or ordered to leave a country or territory”

How do I explain, when I was way younger, in secondary school and early days of university I had applied to uk and us respectively to visit my family but I was refused. I do not have any of the details of those refusals as I was way younger and it was a long time ago. After this I’ve schooled in the UK for Msc

I need help how to explain this under these section of providing details of what happened and why
