Fantastic 4: First Steps (2025)- 5.8/10 This should’ve been Marvel’s big family reunion, but instead it plays like a stiff old stage play, flashy sets and lifeless dialogue. The movie looks great, no doubt. The VFX, grading, and overall design are top-tier, and at times it feels like Jack Kirby’s comic book artwork straight off the page. Sue and Ben actually feel alive, but everyone else is trapped in cardboard writing. Reed Richards is meant to be Marvel’s brightest mind, but here he’s just a hollow, lifeless shell and Pedro Pascal himself couldn't save the day, as the script leaves him stranded, playing a cold shell of a character instead of the genius leader he should be. Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm? Really? Who looked at that casting and said, “Yep, that’s our hotshot playboy”? It’s like they picked him out of a lineup for someone who’s never told a joke in his life. No spark, no charisma, just flat one-liners that made him look like he was forcing it the whole time. By the end, I couldn’t shake the feeling that this was a waste of talent and hype. The trailers promised something epic, but the movie just coasted on nostalgia and shiny effects. So that’s all the major CBMs done for the year and mannn, are we starving 😩😒. Seeing the Superman (2025) teasers late last year, I really thought we were gonna eat. Anyways, here’s where I stand on all of them: The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025). Surprisingly the best of the bunch and easily the most rewatchable, simply because of how gorgeous it looks. 5/10. Superman (2025). Man, I actually thought this was gonna save CBMs from the gradual rot they’ve become. Instead, it turned out to be one of my biggest disappointments of the year, a genuinely frustrating watch, because you just know it could have been so much better if James Gunn wasn’t such a narcissist. Maybe I’ll revisit later with a calmer head, but for now... 4/10. Thunderbolts*(2025). The promo run for this was an all-timer, and I duly fell for the ruse… and duly got burnt. I’ve even forgotten the clumsy plot, something, something, void nonsense. 3/10. Captain America: Brave New World (2025). I pressed my clothes, sprayed on some expensive cologne, and went out like a bubbling fool 😭 one bright Sunday afternoon in February to see this. Tbf, I had zero expectations, I just wanted to watch something on the big screen that day. And what did I get? Exactly what I expected, zero reward for my efforts!. Calling the plot nonsensical would be an understatement. 2/10. So yeah, that’s 2025 done for the genre. Deep down I know CBMs are toast, but I’m still here, waving a white flag for Avengers: Doomsday (2026) and Spider-Man 4 (2026). 🏳️ Ciao✌🏿 2 Likes

The Bad Guys 2 (2025): 7.5/10 Bad Guys 2 does exactly what a sequel should, turning the fun up a notch without losing what made the first one work. The animation is bold and stylish, the action is smooth, and the jokes actually land (yes, even the fart jokes). Diane steals the spotlight, the Bad Girls bring fresh energy, and Wolf’s growth gives the story some real weight. It’s not rewriting the rules of animation, but honestly, who cares? It’s slick, funny, and far more charming than it has any right to be, and proof that not every sequel has to be a soulless cash grab. And with animation already on a home run this year, this one only keeps the streak alive. 8 Likes 1 Share

Jurassic world rebirth is a solid 6.5/10 for me. Well not bad at all, though the previous instalments had more thrill, intensity and plot than this one but all the same, it's a good watch. One thing i really love about all these new released movies and series is the introduction of kids to play major roles in them, the children adds some spark to any movie and it's one of the things i Love about Jurassic world rebirth. The little girl child was a joy to watch especially her scenes. Scarlet Johansson is the reason this movie saw massive views as she is the reason why i watched anyways. She is my celeb crush and i will watch any movie she is featured in as long as she still acts. I admire the woman too much. Lol 4 Likes

mission impossible: the final reckoning is a solid 9/10 for me. Now this is what we call a masterpiece, from the carefully attentive dialogues to the amazing casts to the plot to the scenes especially that airplane scene. I dare say this is one of the best ( Top 3) movies of 2025. Totally amazing, not a single boring moment at all. It's action but it gives you the feel of an adventure movie. I will miss the entire project for sure. One of the most successful movie projects in history. Definitely up there with the matrix, blade and co. 6 Likes

Coolie is a solid 6/10 for me. Indians are trying for real but all they need do now is follow the footsteps of Koreans and start giving us realistic actions scenes, it's 2025 already, it's time to let go of actions scenes that looks like Ai. Lol Apart from the fight scenes, the movie has a nice plot and storyline, i Love the emotional aspects of it and the plot twist at the end. Great casts all through, they gave their all. 3 Likes

Mantis 5/10 The movie is just like John wick and a spin-off of the 2023 film “Kill Boksoon” which is 10/10 movie for me and it’s bloody AF but the spinoff was really bad. Kill Boksoon is a good movie you need to watch, if you’re a fan of John wick, I bet you will love it. 2 Likes

The war is over, anime fans will never forget 2025, we defeated DC best hero movie and 3 Marvel movies in the same year. We go again, 2027 and my prediction is still above $500M but won’t overtake this record……..2029 last movie will be $1B.

Micheal b Jordan doing a remake of the jomas crown affair. I loved the original and the remake even more. Let's see how Thomas being a blackman would feel this time. P.s I still feel F4 is the best out of all the cbms this year. Not yet seen dead reckoning, downloaded but not just ready for it yet. |

ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER in IMAX 70mm... 😳👀 This movie is shaping up to be the major frontrunner for Oscar glory come this Awards season. If this does do really well at the Oscars, then this year will go down as quite an historic year for WB.

Still beats me how I've only watched one film (Magnolia) in his filmography despite having almost all his films in my radar for years. 😳🤦🏽♂️ Downloaded There Will Be Blood and Boogie Nights over a year now, yet unwatched. Hoping to correct that at least by year's end.

I watched "Requiem for a dream" recently. It was so good that I had to go to Reddit to check other people's opinion on it. It made me watch "Black swan" next. Darren Aronofsky knows how to make disturbing movies just like Ari Aster.
