Am so ashamed of my dear country, comrades couldn't mobilize strike for bad roads, insecurity, poor minimum wage, insufficient social amenities, against corruption, against government for failed refineries angry

But they are mobilizing against a private company that brought succour to the whole federation 🤷🏿
Correct
Poor health facility across the federation

Wallade:
Do you know the number of non Nigerian companies in the oil and gas sector and several other sectors of the economy?

How many of them had issues with the labor unions that translated to industrial strikes?

The government owned refineries are not functional so how do they direct strike at them?

The unions are for protection of rights of staff, welfare and working conditions of staff, primarily.

Can you people just stop to think?
The same union that joined Kyari to lie that PH and Warri refineries were working

Ignorance at full display. If you don't want your workers to join a union, then don't hire. It's simple. Without union, our salaries wouldnt have been improved, same as allowances.
Those in multinational across globe are all in labour unions, then one local champion is making noise up and down against union. Those workers must be allowed to join a union.
My brother, the number of uninformed and shallow minded commentators on nairaland is so alarming.

You would just wonder how they think or reason. How do these people even manage their primary environment?

They won't succeed under Tinubu government, he needs the refinery to run for ease of governance for the citizens. Time to start chasing all this comrades 🤷🏿
Tinubu will never take up a fight against labor unions. He is a better human resources manager than you imagine.

I can take a bet on it and you can take it to the bank.

It's becoming clear that there are plans to shut down the refinery, the jokers called NLC are on it too.
Maybe Dangote didn't pass enough envelopes to them , won't be surprised if ASUU joins them.

It will the joke of the century that a refinery that was supplying foreign countries is shut down because selfish gate keepers who refused to revamp their refineries and want to keep the nation poor.

Why is NLC not saying anything about private universities who staff members aren't allowed to register with them.
Lobbish.

NLC should know that nobody will go on strike.

Both Dangote and PENGASSAN are selfish.
Let them fight their fight by themselves.
NLC doesn't need you to go on strike, they only need their members to go on strike.

Don't mind them. Most of them who make noise here, supporting Dangote have never worked in good organisation with unions. They either hawk items or work with one man business where they are only 8 workers and their bosses do as they like.
You have said it all. They don't even understand what a labor union Could be.

When the management and board of NNPC says the refineries are working and they are actually blending reserve PMS and other grades of Petroleum Products to derive and push out substandard PMS.

You expect the staff or union to say the refineries are not working? The staff should contradict their employer abi?

Who do you think was doing the blending, trucking and loading and administrative functions during that period PMS was being trucked from Port Harcourt Refinery Company? You think it was magic ar machines that were not manned or robots?

Can you be realistic and think like an employee?

They way they sabotaged the following:
Chevron
Shell
TotalfinaElf
Indorama
Halliburton
NLNG
Schlumberger
Baker Huges
Mobil
Seplat
Etc

If you are used to slavery, that's for you alone. Unemployment reduction does not include slavery and intimidation of workers.

Bros, go and rest.

If you are looking for saboteurs, look at your federal government.
How many of those company into refineries, let them go into refineries and see the outcome.

I doubt if you know, the same nupeng collecting 50k on every truck that load at depot and the oil marketers will take that 50k on you as last buyer.

Also a slave-minded will not also aware that, the reform the new NNPC head wants to embark upon, has been completely frustrated by same unions, and that these people taken billions of Naira as salary every month without doing anything.

When citizens surporting the same people who are oppressing them, such country will be in bondage for long time to come.

This Dangote vs pengassan has exposed how people think. Without labour unions workers would suffer in the hands of employers. Like some side if Dangote don't want them to join unions since you are employing Nigeria workers, he should employ his children, ground children and family members so that he can unionised them himself.
So many ignorant people on this issue.
Re: Dangote Vs PENGASSAN: NLC Mobilises Workers For Strike Against Refinery by hotseat:
It's now certain that Nigeria is not ready for investments either local or foreign.

Which foreign investor would come and invest in a country where the workforce is constituting an impediment to the ease of doing business?

The FG is unwittingly keeping mute while things go haywire.

If the Tinubu administration continues to fold its hands in the face of enemies of the country, it might eventually lead to the bringing down of the government itself.

For now, let them continue to form "I-don-care".

Sooner or later, it would sing the nunc dimittis!
