Mansa6:Where is hospital that NMA has built since their creation? Where is the new supreme Court the NBA has built since their creation? Where's the university ASUU/CONUA has built since their creation? It's not the responsibility of trade unions to build... their responsibilities is to the welfare of their members. |

Fiscus105:What's so special about refining crude oil? The crude oil hidden deep down in Earth's low bed is drilled up by these companies you're asking about... after they've done the different processes to bring about the fine crude ready for use or export...then one local champion wey just build only refinery go come wan dey do any how. Why didn't he also go into crude oil exploration for his own refinery? He's waiting for others to do that for him and still don't want them to protect their members who are part of his refinery. If Creek boys can cook kpo fire and get some petroleum products with cooking pots and all that...then what's the big deal in refinery? The koko na to drill up the oil. Make Dangote follow too dey drill nah. Nonsense |

kernniejay:Oga, Dangote has no liberty, it is the staff that have the liberty to join or not. The case is simple, allow them join freely without victimization. Dangote is flaunting the National and International labor laws by laying off workers on the ground of sabotage. You can see the fight is now going even beyond the refinery, it is presently going down on the whole Dangote group. Very uncalled for, no union in CEMENT plants, no union in SALT and some others. Dangote no try at all. Enjoying the Nation wealth like the country belongs to his Maternal Grandfather. Nigeria and Nigerians built Dangote and the Dangote Group, we must acknowledge that before any other merit is given to Dangote as an individual. |

Nigerians can now see for themselves that NLC is their enemies. Nic couldn't advocate for functional Nigeria Refineries all this while but can now mobilize against an independent private refinery. Nonsense!!! I believe it's high time Nigerians should also mobilize against those UNIONS. |

ariesbull:That's what Dangote is doing... and workers no longer want that sort of treatment... that's why they sought the intervention of the union to protect their fundamental rights to good welfare packages. He knows he can't try this outside Nigeria but will want the nation to bend to him because he's Dangote and above the law right? He will learn. |

caleboxylic:If I am to own a a business in Nigeria, the first condition condition on the employment agreement would be no unionism, a complete and permanent ban on it. If you want to be in a union, join a firm that supports it or create your own. I saw unionism shut down a brewery around 2011, till date most of them are still unemployed, whereas the bosses they were protesting against are all gainful employed. |

Wallade:Let's assuming Union are fighting for their members (which in practice it's not true). Dangote is fighting to sell it's product locally practically against entrenched oil and gas cabal that wants fuel importation because they are heavily invested and will lose billions if we stop importing. Millions of Nigerians interest aligns more with Dangote, not with the Union nor the cabal. The are few people whose interest aligns with the Union. Union and the cabals are fighting against Nigerians interest. If they can reduce imported fuel to N300, Nigerians will support them immediately but this Mofos are selling at N900 and still want subsidy from Dangote (Not the government, they want subsidy from Dangote) |

D unilorin case that took close to 8 yrs to resolve in d court do you think those 40 lecturers were not replaced in the 8 yrs they were in court? Did the court ask the university to sack the people that were employed? NO |

Those of u in support of dangote, should know that one day it could be you. Why sack Nigerians, and replace them with indians? Is there no other Nigerians capable of doing the jobs of those sack? Please you people should also tell dangote to employ indians to drive all his trucks including the cement factory so they stop killing Nigerians, since they re d best . |

| Re: Dangote Vs PENGASSAN: NLC Mobilises Workers For Strike Against Refinery by yemre: 12:01pm On Sep 30, 2025 |
ariesbull:He actually told them and even made them sign the "no unionism" clause before they were employed. That's even the Genesis of all these. Nupeng said, why would Dangote make them sign such thing and that the newly employed drivers must belong to their association and must carry out their instructions at the refinery as well as join their strike whenever they call. So, you see! |
| Re: Dangote Vs PENGASSAN: NLC Mobilises Workers For Strike Against Refinery by yemre: 12:05pm On Sep 30, 2025 |
Elly1:People are free to blame the government because whatever belongs to the government belongs to the people. But whatever you acquire with your personal money is private to you and no third party can come into your space to tell you how you spend your money. It's the same thing here. Dangote should be allowed to make it's own internal policy as a private entity. The most you would do is resign if it doesn't align with your values or you stop to patronize him. But going to seize his refinery is not right. It's invasion! |

Gotocourt:God will bless you for this comment. I just can't fathom the way the comrades reason. If this escalates and the refinery is grounded, their emergency saviours will hike fuel prices, claiming the fuel is imported and the landing cost is #1,500.. Funnily, these same people will be the one going around claiming the government has not done anything about the cost of fuel and inflation bla bla bla. They should just continue. I guess people get too comfortable and now they want to try discomfort! |

Many of u have not even worked anywhere before...no standard job yet u want to talk about how union is operated... U come online the zero knowledge of how things are done just because u want cheap fuel...u will be shocked that u will by that fuel for 1500 to 2000 per litre soon |

The union alleged that many of the jobs were replaced with more than 2,000 expatriates, mainly from India.black man na him own problem. i mean 2000 indians to replace nigerian jobs. is NASS sleeping or what? they have to call the man to order. e dey break many laws. this is unpatriotic |

Make it make sense. Why are you not holding the government by the jugular to provide hospitals , good roads, pay better salaries. Dangote who has decided to help Nigeria is now the bad one. |
