Gaza: All Eyes On Hamas As Russia, France, World Leaders Back Trump's Peace Plan by fergie001(op): 5:39pm On Sep 30, 2025
Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to the plan, even as Israeli forces continued to escalate attacks in Gaza, killing at least 30 people on Tuesday. Israel however, stoutly opposed a two state solution.

The Palestinian Authority, which partially governs the Israeli-occupied West Bank, said it welcomed Trump’s efforts and pledged to make reforms that would allow it to return to governance. A senior Hamas official said the group would begin studying the proposal, which it received from Mideast mediators Egypt and Qatar, before responding.

Trump in his speech threatened that the US will back Israel to do whatever is necessary if Hamas fails to accept the plan.

"If Hamas rejects the deal, which is always possible... as you know, Bibi, you'd have our FULL BACKING to do what you would have to do”. - Trump told Netanyahu

WORLD LEADERS EXPRESS OPTIMISM, BACK TRUMP'S PLAN
The new US initiative to deliver an end to the war in Gaza is profoundly welcome and I am grateful for President Trump's leadership.

We strongly support his efforts to end the fighting, release the hostages and ensure the provision of urgent humanitarian assistance for the people of Gaza. This is our top priority and should happen immediately.

We call on all sides to come together and to work with the US Administration to finalise this agreement and bring it into reality. Hamas should now agree to the plan and end the misery, by laying down their arms and releasing all remaining hostages.

Together with our partners, we will continue work to build consensus to put into place a permanent ceasefire. We are all committed to a collective effort to end the war in Gaza and deliver a Sustainable peace, where Palestinians and lsraelis can live side by side in safety and security.
Keir Starmer
Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

Russia always supports and welcomes any efforts by Trump aimed at ending the tragedy that is currently unfolding, and, of course, we want this plan to be implemented and for it to help bring events in the Middle East to a peaceful conclusion.
Dmitry Peskov
Spokesperson for the Kremlin

I welcome President @realDonaldTrump’s commitment to end the war in Gaza and also encourage all parties to now seize this opportunity.

The EU stands ready to contribute.

Hostilities should end with provision of immediate humanitarian relief to the population in Gaza and with all hostages released immediately.

A two-state solution remains the only viable path to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East with the Israeli and Palestinian people living side by side, in peace and security, free from violence and terrorism.
Ursula von dear Leyen
President, European Union Commission

The State of Palestine welcomes the sincere and determined efforts of President Donald J. Trump to end the war on Gaza and affirms its confidence in his ability to find a path toward peace. It also underscores the importance of the partnership with the United States in achieving peace in the region.

It renews its joint commitment to work with the United States, regional states, and partners to end the war on Gaza through a comprehensive agreement that ensures the sufficient delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, the release of hostages and prisoners, the establishment of mechanisms to protect the Palestinian people, guarantee respect for the ceasefire and security for both sides, prevent annexation of land, stop the displacement of Palestinians, end unilateral actions that violate international law, release withheld Palestinian tax revenues, and lead to a full Israeli withdrawal.

This would also ensure the unification of Palestinian land and institutions in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, end the occupation, and open the path toward a just peace based on the two-state solution, with the independent and sovereign State of Palestine living side by side with the State of Israel in security, peace, and good neighborliness, in accordance with international legitimacy.

Reaffirming the commitments undertaken by the State of Palestine at the International Conference in New York regarding the completion of the Palestinian reform program—including holding presidential and parliamentary elections within one year after the end of the war, and ensuring that all candidates in the elections adhere to the political program, international commitments, of the PLO, international legitimacy, and the principle of one system, one law, and one legitimate Palestinian security force.

We have affirmed our desire for a modern, democratic, and non-militarized Palestinian state, committed to pluralism and the peaceful transfer of power.

This also includes the commitment to implement the program for the development of curricula in line with UNESCO standards within two years, the abolition of laws and regulations under which payments are made to the families of prisoners and martyrs, and the establishment of a unified social welfare system subject to international auditing. The State of Palestine affirms its readiness to engage positively and constructively with the United States and all parties in order to achieve peace, security, and stability for the peoples of the region.
Palestinian Authority (The State of Palestine)

I welcome President @realDonaldTrump’s commitment to ending the war in Gaza and securing the release of all hostages.

I expect Israel to engage resolutely on this basis. Hamas has no choice but to immediately release all hostages and follow this plan.

These elements must pave the way for in-depth discussions with all relevant partners to build a lasting peace in the region, based on the two-state solution and on the principles endorsed by 142 UN member states, at the initiative of France and Saudi Arabia.

France stands ready to contribute. It will remain vigilant regarding the commitments of each party.
Emmanuel Macron
President, Republic of France

Statement by Palazzo Chigi on the war in Gaza
The Italian Government has long been committed to supporting all efforts to bring the war in Gaza to an end and secure the release of the hostages. An end to the hostilities is also crucial to be able to address the terrible humanitarian crisis affecting the Strip’s civilian population, which is an absolutely unjustifiable and unacceptable tragedy.

The proposal presented today by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, may be a turning point in this process, allowing for a permanent cessation of the hostilities, the immediate release of all the hostages and full and safe humanitarian access for the civilian population to be achieved.

The Plan, which Italy welcomes, presents an ambitious project for the stabilisation, reconstruction and development of the Gaza Strip, with the full involvement of regional partners.

In this context, Italy is ready to do its part, in close coordination with the United States and European and regional partners, and it thanks President Trump for the mediation work and his efforts to bring peace to the Middle East.

Italy therefore urges all parties to seize this opportunity and to accept the Plan.

Hamas, in particular, which began this war with the barbaric terrorist attack on 7 October 2023, now has the opportunity to end it by releasing the hostages, by accepting not to have any role in the future of Gaza and by completely disarming.

Italy will support Washington’s efforts for a resumption of dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians to agree on a political horizon towards a peaceful and prosperous coexistence. A just and lasting peace in the Middle East is possible, with a State of Israel and a Palestinian State living side by side in peace and security, and with Israel’s full normalisation with Arab and Islamic nations.
Office of the Prime Minister of Italy

I welcome President @realDonaldTrump's comprehensive plan to end the war in Gaza, which embodies principles that Portugal has always supported. The Israeli Prime Minister's openness, the involvement of Arab and European partners, and the receptiveness of the international community are signs of hope. Portugal supports this initiative, which can be the starting point for a just and lasting peace for both parties.
Luis Montenegro
Prime Minister of Portugal

The Foreign Ministers of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Türkiye, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt welcome President Donald J Trump's leadership and his sincere efforts to end the war in Gaza, and assert their confidence in his ability to find a path to peace.

They emphasize the importance of the partnership with the United States in securing peace in the region.

Along these lines, the ministers welcome the announcement by President Trump regarding his proposal to end the war, rebuild, prevent the displacement of the Palestinian people and advance a comprehensive as well as his announcement that he will not allow the annexation of the West Bank.

The ministers affirm their readiness to engage positively and constructively with the United States and the parties towards finalising the agreement and ensuring its implementation, in a manner that ensures peace, security, and stability for the peoples of the region.

They reaffirm their joint commitment to work with the United States to end the war in Gaza through a comprehensive deal that ensures unrestricted delivery of sufficient humanitarian aid to Gaza, no displacement of the Palestinians, the release of hostages, a security mechanism that guarantees the security of all sides, full Israeli withdrawal, rebuilds Gaza and creates a path for a just peace on the basis of the two state solution, under which Gaza is fully integrated with the West Bank in a Palestinian state in accordance with international law as key to achieving regional stability and security.
Joint Statement by the Foreign Ministers of Jordan, Indonesia, Turkiye, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates

China welcomes and supports all actions conducive to easing the tensions between Palestine and Israel and calls on all parties to implement relevant UN resolutions, realise a full ceasefire in Gaza, release all hostages at once and alleviate the humanitarian crisis as soon as possible. China advocates the principle of Palestines governing themselves and pursuing a two-state solution. We stand ready to work with the rest of the world and make relentless effort for a comprehensive, just and lasting solution to the Palestine situation at an early date.
Guo Jiakun
Spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Affairs Ministry

We welcome President Donald J. Trump’s announcement of a comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict. It provides a viable pathway to long term and sustainable peace, security and development for the Palestinian and Israeli people, as also for the larger West Asian region. We hope that all concerned will come together behind President Trump’s initiative and support this effort to end conflict and secure peace.
Narendra Modi
Prime Minister of India

Spain welcomes the US-backed peace proposal for Gaza.

We must put an end to so much suffering.

It is time for the violence to cease, for the immediate release of all hostages, and for humanitarian aid to be granted to the civilian population.

The two-state solution, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security, is the only possible solution.
Pedro Sanchez
President of Spain

I commend US President Donald Trump’s efforts and leadership aimed at halting the bloodshed in Gaza and achieving a ceasefire.

Türkiye will continue to contribute to the process with a view to establishing a just and lasting peace acceptable to all parties.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan
President, Republic of Turkiye

Australia welcomes President Trump's plan to bring peace to Gaza after almost two years of conflict and a devastating loss of civilian life.

Australia has consistently been part of international calls for a ceasefire, return of the hostages, and flow of aid to Gaza.

I welcomed the opportunity to discuss this plan with other leaders over the past week.

Australia affirms the plan's commitment to denying Hamas any role in the future governance of Gaza, and calls on Hamas to agree to the plan, lay down its arms and release all remaining hostages.

We commend the plan's focus on Palestinian self-determination and statehood, and the Palestinian Authority taking back effective control of Gaza. President Trump's plan reflects a clear rejection of annexation and forced displacement of Palestinians.

We acknowledge the diplomatic efforts to include Palestinian, Arab and other key partners' views in this plan, as demonstrated by the statements of support from the Palestinian Authority.

Australia urges all parties to engage seriously with the plan and to work to bring its vision into reality without delay.

Together with our partners, Australia will continue to support efforts to end the war and work towards a just and sustainable two-state solution.
Anthony Albanese
Prime Minister of Australia

I welcome the peace plan for Gaza presented by President Trump. It is the best chance for an end to the war since October 7, 2023. It's good that Israel supports the plan. Now Hamas must agree and clear the path to peace.

In these crucial days, we are in close contact with the United States, our European neighbours, and our partners in the region. Germany is ready to contribute to the implementation of the plan.
Friedrich Merz
German Chancellor

I welcome President @realDonaldTrump’s plan to end the war in Gaza and I am encouraged by Prime Minister @netanyahu’s positive response.

All parties must seize this moment to give peace a genuine chance.

The situation in Gaza is intolerable. Hostilities must end, and all hostages must be released immediately.

The Israeli and Palestinian people deserve to live side by side, in peace and security, free from violence and terrorism.

A two-state solution remains the only viable path to a just and lasting peace in the Middle East.
Antonio Costa
President, European Union Council

Canada welcomes President Trump's historic new Middle East peace plan, and we urge all parties to help it realise its full potential.

As the critical next step, Hamas must immediately release all hostages.

Canada stands ready to support the sustained, unimpeded, and large-scale delivery of humanitarian aid into and throughout Gaza.

We will continue our close coordination with international partners to build a just and lasting peace that builds on today's progress, with a sovereign, democratic, and viable State of Palestine building its future in peace and security with the State of Israel.
Mark Carney
Prime Minister of Canada

We welcome President Trump’s efforts to bring about a peace plan that could end the conflict. It is significant that Israel has accepted this plan. The Netherlands has repeatedly called for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, one that would be supported by both parties.

This remains crucial for securing the release of the hostages, dramatically boosting the amount of humanitarian aid & achieving a lasting peace in the Middle East. We look forward to seeing further details of the plan. The Netherlands stays committed to ending the war in Gaza.
David Van Weel
Netherland's Foreign Affairs Minister

I welcome President Trump’s 20-point plan to ensure an end to the war in Gaza.

I am also convinced that durable peace between the Palestinian people and Israel would be essential in bringing political stability and economic growth to the region.

It is also my firm belief that President Trump is fully prepared to assist in whatever way necessary to make this extremely important and urgent understanding to become a reality.

I laud President Trump’s leadership and the vital role played by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff in bringing an end to this war.

I also strongly believe that the implementation of the two state proposal is essential to ensure lasting peace in the region.
Shehbaz Sharif
Prime Minister, Islamic Republic of Pakistan

We welcome the announcement of Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict proposed by the U.S. President Donald J. Trump.

A sustainable and just peace requires sincere commitment, mutual trust, and respect for international law.

The exchange of prisoners and hostages, and addressing humanitarian needs of the population are vital to pave the way for long-term stabilization and political settlement through building confidence and easing tensions.

Only through dialogue and goodwill a long-lasting settlement, with the two-state solution at its core, can be achieved.
Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs

We support the initiative of President Trump to end the war in Gaza. Armenia hopes that the proposal will be implemented by the parties & peace will be established without any delay.
Nikol Pashinyan
Prime Minister, Republic of Armenia

Kazakhstan welcomes the Comprehensive Peace Plan of U.S. President @realDonaldTrump aimed at ending the #Gaza conflict.

President @TokayevKZ emphasized that #Kazakhstan regards this initiative as a unique opportunity and an important step toward resolving the situation in the #MiddleEast, strengthening interstate trust, and establishing lasting and just peace in this region.
Ruslan Zheldibay
Press Secretary to Kazakhstani President

In our speech to the UN General Assembly over the weekend, we said: “We desperately want diplomacy to succeed and we believe it is those countries with leverage who are most likely to achieve a breakthrough. That would show global leadership.”

New Zealand therefore welcomes the United States’ “Comprehensive Plan to End the Conflict in Gaza” as an example of such global leadership.

We urge the parties to seize this important opportunity to end the conflict and implement the terms of the proposal fully. New Zealand wants to see an immediate end to this disastrous conflict.

Peace in the middle east is bad news for Iran. Once there is peace, the people will be able to focus on the suppression and misgoverance of their rulers.

The conflicts and most recently the war in Gaza is what Ayatollah uses in galvanising support and take the mind of the people away from the mess in Iran.

Lemme drop one scripture here.....

Dan.9.27 - "Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate."

Lemme drop another one........

1Thess.5.3 - "For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape."

How come Putin cannot agree with Trump, Macron and the European/NATO crowd on his war with Ukraine, but they can all agree on the Middle East "Peace Plan"?

Mmmmmmmmmm?

Something is happening underneath the surface that we see in the news.
