Happy 65th Independence Day to our great Nation, Nigeria!

On October 1st, 1960, the Green-White-Green flag was raised for the very first time. Nigeria was free.

65 years later, we are still here. A nation of over 200 million people, 500+ ethnic groups, and endless cultures—proving every day that unity in diversity is possible.

Nigeria’s journey has not been easy. From the struggles of the past to the challenges of today, we’ve had our share of highs and lows. Yet, Nigerians have never lost that resilient spirit. We are known for our creativity, hustle, and strength to rise against all odds.

Our music shakes the world, our movies inspire millions, our sportsmen and women bring glory home, and our entrepreneurs keep breaking barriers.

As we celebrate 65 years of independence, let’s remember: independence was not just about breaking free from colonial rule—it’s about building a Nigeria we can all be proud of.

Happy 65th Independence Day to our great nation. Long live Nigeria. Long live her people.

Happy Independence Day to my fellow Nigerians cool

🇳🇬

Happy birthday to Nigeria @ 65

I am visiting Europe currently and I will repeat what I always say .....

It is very easy to see why Blacks are at the very bottom and not respected by ANYONE.

We messed up our continents with our own hands. We can't keep blaming Whites for this.

If Japan & Germany can recover from being nearly annihilated during the World War 2. Why must we keep complaining?

Development & progress is collective and collaborative. In developed world; majority work towards this. Yes we have bad leaders and also yes, most of the followers are bad too.

Solution to a Black man's problems isn't just Japa.

We can do better to build a decent country for the future.

Stop stealing from your country

Stop promoting hate for other tribes and end the spirit of tribalism and nepotism

Stop internet fraud

Get a real job; stop pushing drugs (especially if you are outside Nigeria)

Demand fairness and equity

Vote in decent leaders

Give back to your community

Recognise that we were humans first before tribe and religion divided us

Make your country better so we can have something to pass on to the next generation

Happy birthday, my countrymen and women!

Nwanne, is this how you intend to garner support for Peter Obi?

It's about time we stop this chest beating we are known for.

Our tribe isn't more superior than others. We all are unique in our own diverse ways.

Lets appreciate our country bro.

God bless Nigeria.

What is the need of celebrating suffering as a nation? A country were tribalism and hatred have destroyed. A country were evils are being celebrated,a country were the masses are suffering while the privileged ones are enjoying. A country were the youths can't be boastful to have,a country that has lost his global values

The failed British colonial creation called Nigeria has outlived its usefulness

What we should be talking about now is peaceful disintegration, let everyone go their way and develop according to their talent

Happy Independence from the colonial masters.

But still Many Nigerians are slaves to their Leaders/rulers...

They protest for good governance..bullets everywhere

One day we may celebrate independence from our rulers

65 years of independence, yet the chains feel heavier than ever. We celebrate a freedom we've yet to truly taste, mourning the dreams that remain enslaved. My heart aches for the Nigeria we deserve, not the one we've inherited.
