Many important national edifices and landmark structures were built despite the corruption that bedevilled his time in office. Festac Town is one of the legacy projects. The military barracks are not excluded too. One negative is Federal Secretariat rottening away in Ikoyi that has been neglected by other successive governments is an eyesore till day. So what are the structures the tamer of the Atlantic ocean built in his famed Lagos nah? And guess what? They were all built in Lagos some people are now claiming that the evil in Aso rock built, the money used in building all these were coming from oil from the south but they tell you that they own Lagos. Federal government invested heavily in Lagos. Money generated in other parts of the country most especially oil money was used to develop Lagos. Its so sad that a section of the country is claiming Lagos today . Thank you for this post . The good thing about all the project was the good quality standard of the buildings, there was a builing for Hospital in Ikire Osun state that was abandoned near the road , the building is standing there it did not collapse. 4 Likes |

Notable and last longing structures. One imagines how many more he would have done if half of the World's cement production, docked at Apapa that year, did no waste and spoil after awaiting clearance for a full 13months. Most of that 50% ended up spoilt before clearance sadly due to slow paper works and protocols and also, Space. The fact is one imagines the very plan he had in mind to order such. Where are the blueprints today. What was inside his mind that he wanted to achieve infrastructural-wise? We give kudos to him for this list but im sure it would have been 30 more fatter if those ceme didn't spoil i guess. Kudos to Jakande also. These guys did structures that outlived what 1999 and 2008 Governors did. Let's not even mention those clowns of 2014 abeg. Grass don cover many of what they did. Forgotten and home to reptiles. Oyo for who wan use tribalism for this one. Low iq approach if you do that. |
