THERE IS NO WAY TO SPIN INSANITY. DESTROYING RESOURCES PEOPLE SUFFER TO ARRANGE WEN U DEPEND ON TAX YOURSELF, IS CLEAR EVIDENCE U ARE NOT A LEADER. NOT TO MENTION LEADER OF NIGERIA. NO LEADERS DESTROYS BUSINESS WHERE U HAVE BEEN COLLECTING TAX. |

franudi: nwokem, there is no emotions in law, if you must break the law, then be ready for the consequences and if you feel you know the law better than the government, and also if you have your approved papers, take the govt to court and prove your case. I’m a lagosian and my family property on the island was once in dispute with the state govt and we took them to court and won. You can advise your brothers to do the same if they have a case and stop the steering up sentiment and emotions because the law doesn’t give a hoot about your emotions ![]() |

Justnation: but the one that happened in anambala was not fuelled by tribal bigotry and hatred? Gone are those days when your victimisation propaganda to blackmail the govt hold sway, we are wiser now. Anyone not happy with the way we chose to govern our state can by all mean relocate his/her investment back home, Lagos will not be turned into a slum just because we want to please some entitled people ![]() |

jaxxy:Don't you think he could have showed support without telling lies about the real situation? Why saying the buildings had approval when they didn't. Of they had approval why didn't the owners go to court when they got the demolition notice. They claimed they got approval from the trade fair management, does Obi as a leader who wants to lead Nigeria not know that building approved comes from the state government? When he was governor of Anambra state was it market management that granted approvals for building constructions even in market places? Let's call a spade a spade and not a big spoon |

Olabest911: he is not a wise man and he can’t hide and pretend about his bigotry for too long….like the Yorubas says, Efin ni Iwa’ meaning your character is like smoke, it can’t hide for too long…..he is just giving the non ibos expecially the Yorubas that fell for his propaganda in the last election expecially in lagos more reason not to vote for him….a man that is campaigning to be president of Nigeria, showing his loyalty to his tribemen than to the rest of the country. Though we have always known him to be a bigot only the few gullible ones fell for his charade ![]() |

WizardOfNG:Chief this isn’t an English contest. Tribalism is beneath me and by proxy Youre beneath me. This isn’t a case of Igbo owns this or that, if you check properly, there are other tribes affected there too if not equally. This is a case of gov’t looking out for its masses. If you’re smart enough you would have thought of this instead of going into full blown defense of the Yoruba tribe.! Son, be it in Enugu, delta, edo kano or any part of this country where anyone or group of people choose to be legit, the government owes it to them to support in any meaningful way. Can the approval still be gotten in this case? Yes? The said structure In a GRA? No? Why destroy million of billions of investment of hard working people just because of some crap Why pushing your citizens to the wall? Son, humanity first before tribe and religion. You can drown yourself in your self absorbed hatred for the igbos if you like, one thing is clear here, this could have been handled differently. Forget the crap about beating up their staffs et all, Thats just bullshit. But you came back in with a bulldozer? Stop it son! |

Richtaiwo:Where did Anambra state demolish 2000 shops mumu man! Anambra stste demolished buildings built on the right of way of atate and fg roads! The buildings at the trade fair ostensibly had federal misitry of works approval! Its left to lagos and Fg to reconcile their powers of supervision! My worry about the plazas is that some look structurally defective but to willfuly damage and destroy the hardwork of innocent businessmen is borderline satanic! |

lexxwiz:if tribalism is beneath you then you will not speak in favor of your tribe.. if you're smart enough you will know that Lagos is 22% - 25% water.. the remaining 75% is land and the Yorubas will do everything to own and control majority of that land.. having humanity is what allowed the invasion of Nigeria by nomadic terrorists... so no more humanity for anyone.. |

I don't like how Governor Sanwo Olu is allowing the Obi man constutue himself into a nuisance in Lagos.. any news, he'll rush to Lagos and be whipping up ethnic sentiments but when worse incidents happen in his home State Anambra, you won't see or hear pim from the hypocrite. Governor Sanwo Olu please wake up.. take a cue from your counterpart in Edo State that issued serious warning to Obi to stay off his State. Our people are tired of this nuisance behavior everytime. The aggrieved shop owners in Trade fair should head to court, so the Judiciary xan interprete the law to them. Lagos is not a lawless State any nuisance can erect just anything in. |

DomPerignon:What are you say? A simple read through of the statement of Lagos State government will explain to you that all buildings with the exception of military institutions, wholy owned FG buildings are required to have building permits from the Lagos State government. |

The lagos state government should remove tribalism from governance. What lagos state government did is wickedness in the highest order. This is defined harshness of the lagos state government. There are ways to compel the people to adhere to the law without being This heartless. The government of lagos state should have taken them to court without taking the laws into their hands because they believe impunity works in Nigeria. We are talking of property related to businesses here. The growth of these businesses contribute to the overall growth of the economy of lagos in particular and Nigeria in general. If there was a competent court order pointing out that their buildings would be destroyed if they don't comply, believe me that they would have mostly complied. The government should be seen as a father as such you don't beat some of children as if you don't want them to survive the beating if truly you are a father. Compassion should always be shown no matter the bribe involved. |

lexxwiz:Tell me how Mbah, Soludo. Or Otti would have handled it differently. Playing victim has becomes you guys trade when you are caught in the corner. Show me your post that speaks in this manner when Otti and Soludo demolished. But the moment it's about Lagos that when you remember humanity. How about you ignoring the facts of the story where government officials were beating and the gate closes against them and the further intrusion of Obi who came to Lagos and took sides by blaming the state government without proper knowledge about what transpired. That's victimisation is no longer working, try something else |
