Then there was a national rolling plan
daveP:
Notable and last longing structures. One imagines how many more he would have done if half of the World's cement production, docked at Apapa that year, did no waste and spoil after awaiting clearance for a full 13months. Most of that 50% ended up spoilt before clearance sadly due to slow paper works and protocols and also, Space.

The fact is one imagines the very plan he had in mind to order such. Where are the blueprints today. What was inside his mind that he wanted to achieve infrastructural-wise? We give kudos to him for this list but im sure it would have been 30 more fatter if those ceme didn't spoil i guess. Kudos to Jakande

also. These guys did structures that outlived what 1999 and 2008 Governors did. Let's not even mention those clowns of 2014 abeg. Grass don cover many of what they did. Forgotten and home to reptiles. Oyo for who wan use tribalism for this one. Low iq approach if you do that.

Meanwhile jagaban built Lagos grin grin.
But to be honest the literates among them that don't even know history thinks baba built all these till date, and this is just Gowon alone not to talk of other military head of state at least others military leaders build something in Lagos and across Nigeria.

So what has the Democratic leaders have done to make this country great other than high vat and taxes upon the citizens, clamping down on peaceful protesters, shoting down any criticism and noise making through their miserable sides and miserable ministers meanwhile under their nose terrorists kept on ravaging lands every houses.

Military regime in Nigeria is the best.

He's no saint but he'll be that last aside Obj that made notable and focused infrastructure moves in this 65year drama. We can't even replicate National theatre again. Na renaming don take over. Lol.

Spending and wasting ti take over. There was a country.

We believed then that the National Theatre had the shape of his cap as a general.

Gowon did well but lost out to powerful forces.

The British colonial administration in Nigeria heavily relied on taxes collected from customs and ports as a primary source of revenue, which was used to fund colonial rule and other activities which culminated in
the drilling of the Oloibiri oil field which was financed by the multinational oil companies Royal Dutch Shell and British Petroleum (BP), ... it was not free.....which were granted concessions by the British colonial administration in the 1930s, well before Nigeria gained independence.
The colonial government supported the exploration efforts of private companies like Shell-D'Arcy by providing a concessionary license and financial assistance with our money for early activities, with the company ultimately bearing the substantial costs of the expensive search for oil, which led to the discovery at Oloibiri in 1956.

Without our customs and ports money,we wouldn't have oil today.

Some people are so filled with bitterness and would therefore use any given opportunity to get at Mr President.

Tinubu cannot be said to build the "sole builder" of Lagos but he definitely formulated the blueprint for the Lagos State of today.

This is what the greatest Singaporean leader Lee Kuan Yew (LKY) did for Singapore.

Singapore was part of Malaysia until it separated from Malaysia in 1965.

LKY himself died in 2015 and since then successive leadership have continued to build on the foundation laid by him.

When democracy was restored in Nigeria in 1999, President Tinubu became the first Governor of Lagos State until May 29th, 2007.

He handed over power to Governor Babatunde Fashola who didn't deviate from the blueprint laid by Tinubu and this has been the trend ever since.

Therein lies Tinubu being called the builder of Lagos State.

Today, he is bringing the same winning formula to the national level of which Nigerians would be grateful for in years to come.

Same can't be said of other States of the federation who have been drifting around aimlessly without any clearcut destination.

Tinubu is a visionary leader and not some Gbajues of this world whose only legacy was the building of a brewery so that his people can get drunk in order to forget their sorrows.

Baba na Baba!

Give credit to whom it's due!
