State Department has told Newsweek that it is “deeply concerned about the levels of violence against Christians and members of other groups in Nigeria.” It comes after American comedian Bill Maher brought attention to the high number of Christians being killed by Islamic militant groups such as Boko Haram in parts of Nigeria. The country has generally pushed back against narratives that Christians are being “systematically killed” in a “genocide attempt,” as Maher described it, with Nigeria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs saying in March that the terrorism in the country is “not driven by religious bias, nor targeted against any particular religious group.” Why It Matters The Trump administration’s public concern over violence against Christians in Nigeria underscores both the scale of the crisis and international divisions over how to respond. International Christian advocacy group Open Doors lists Nigeria as the seventh-most dangerous place for Christians on its World Watch list. In the top six countries on the list, which is headed by North Korea, much smaller numbers of Christians are involved, and the group says that "more Christians are killed for their faith in Nigeria than in the rest of the world combined." What To Know Earlier this year, Congress held a hearing in which the Committee on Foreign Affairs’ Africa Subcommittee called for Nigeria to be classed as a Country of Particular Concern—a U.S. State Department designation under the International Religious Freedom Act for countries whose governments "engage in or tolerate particularly severe violations of religious freedom”—but the list has not been updated since December 2023. Oh really? Same US who is blindly supporting Israel despite the terrorst Likud party government destroying all traces of Christian churches across occupied Palestine? The apartheid terrorist state has used the fog of genocide in Gaza and the West Bank to demolish all Christian antiquity sites and churches across occupied Palestine. Jews continue to terrorise Christians in occupied Palestine and spitting on Christiane is a religious obligation Jews must carry out whenever they sight a christian or a church. The Trump zogged WH is deperately trying to rally support for satanic Israel by claiming they are fighting Islamic terrorist in Gaza when in reality they are committing ethnic genocide irrespective of religion and if the Palestinian in their cross hairs is Christian all the tter because the satanic Babylonian Talmuld has antichristian dogma as its pillar doctrine.

Codepain:Islamic terrorist groups are also the one pretending to be bandits, killing and kidnapping. No country of the world that is not being faced with one Islamic terrorism or the other or at lost tried detonating bomb for once. We need to ask if Islam can't offer us more good things of life than terrorism here and there despite the population is not up to that of christians worldwide |

DomPerignon:You don't need to remind christian about that because they know more than you as bible already told us more than you know about jews. Christians as the most powerful nation on earth (USA), richest, most educated and most populous will continue to support is real as USA is doing. Israel knows her enemies to be islam, muslims and Islam because it is in the Quran and other Islamic sources to hate Jews and christians, and warned not to take them as friends. If Jews killed Jesus, how much more do you expect them to do with followers of Jesus? So, you can see that what you described never reach that even stage. When did you hear Jews killing and beheading christians or throwing bombs at christians? Or see christians killing Jews or beheading them. You will not see, the only people you will see doing such terrible things are Akbar people |
