Flick, just like Luis de La Fuente hasn't learnt the lesson of keeping Pedri in the game especially when the situation is tight. When Newcastle scored a goal against us, it was like they wanted to run wild in the dying minutes, but Pedri made sure it didn't happen by keeping possession of the ball. Remove Pedri, then you'll realise that Barca don't have anything in midfield. DeJong, Fermin and Olmo can't control any game without Pedri.

Flick will learn but he'll never bench Dejong unless he's injured. The best thing is to not renew him, period. He's a liability as a DM. He can join a new club and perform but if the new club insist on him playing DM then that new club will also not win UCL. Dejong is a CM that functions better with a static defensive midfielder. Xavi is an average coach but he knew this. It's why he cried on the media for Zubi when Busquet left. He panicked so hard that he brought a washed Romeo to babysit Dejong. This thing is very clear if you watch the games.

Playing him as a DM is asking for too much trouble because he's too forward, a poor defender and interpreter of space.

Pedri was never the best anything in this entire game. When Psg turned up the heat in the 2nd he was nowhere to be found to help Barcelona win possession. Psg should have scored at least twice in that 2nd half before he even left the game.

Fabregas was not even playing in midfield during his time at Barcelona, he was usually deployed as a false 9 or attacking midfield. Xavi and Busquet were the ones at the base so saying fabregas was the reason Barcelona did not win the champions league during his time there is already premium misyarning and capping.

You have not really said anything meaningful. Nobody is talking about who rate Busquet or not. The lad is quite young I guess reason many are not really talking about him, he miscalculated a lot in that last match and if not for Garcia, only God knows if they wouldn’t have scored more goals. If left for me, when it comes to such tough matches like the PSG match, I’d rather combine Christensen and Garcia and we need a solid, well experienced left back too. Sometimes the lad overwork himself covering for overlapping lb.

I was asking myself yesterday if PSG guys used juju on the team especially Kounde and Pedri, it was as if they lost their memories in that 2nd half especially. Losing possession every now and then. Our life saver was Garcia that yesterday else PSG would have dealt with us long time. Look at after he got injured and was substituted, we still conceded that second goal.
