ciwi:I wrote a letter of explanation telling them I wil cover full expenses and I also wrote an undertaking to bear all expense. So what I did was to research on how to apply using chat got. I uploaded the last refusal letter I got and chat got suggested the letter of explanation and signed undertaking. When they refused the application, I just wrote a page of letter of reconsideration telling them I had addressed the points on which they refused in my letter of explanation |

| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by folla: 7:20pm On Oct 04, 2025 |
You may use an affidavit (statutory declaration) setting out the value of the property. List out your property and their values in an affidavit. I did that for my work permit application. It is accepted, rather than incurring unnecessary costs of getting a valuation report. sparrow76: |

sparrow76:Which one is property evaluation for visa application again? For evidence that you own a property, include any or some of the following documents: property purchase receipt, certificate of occupancy, tenement rate receipt. |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Teslas: 12:02pm On Oct 07, 2025 |
Ashirioluwa:I think an affidavit (statutory declaration of properties) to support all you mentioned above is not bad because I did an application recently where all the documents above were included; in fact, pictures and receipts given to the tenants were included, and agreements with lawyers to manage the properties were also included, and IRCC still came back that your assets (4 properties, and they are itemized in the application as 1, 2, 3, and 4) and finances (35K CAD) are limited. So to me, anything you can include to prove your home ties, I will advise you to include if you have it. There have been a lot of refusals lately. |

Please advise on this🙏 My sister just got my passport and it says expiry is 6th Jan 2026 and single entry. Does it mean that she can stay up to 6 months once she arrive but needs to arrive before 6th Jan? I wanted to know how to book her ticket. Thanks

| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by olasubomy: 3:21pm On Oct 07, 2025 |
Abfaup12:She can't do 6 months anymore, as the validity expires in just 3 months. She has to plan to travel ahead of that expiry date, and she won't be allowed to board the flight on or after the expiry date. |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by oluayebenz: 4:25pm On Oct 07, 2025 |
Abfaup12:Border officer will decide that.... She might even be stamped in with the duration of her air ticket |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Sheron50: 9:27pm On Oct 07, 2025 |
Abfaup12:It’s even stricter now. Border officers and airline staff check visa validity before boarding , even at transit points. Airlines will not allow her to board if her return ticket is dated beyond January 6, since her visa expires that day. Everything is changing fast, and those who have travelled recently to canada can confirm that checks at transit points are very strict. If anything is unclear or doesn’t match the information on the visa, they can cancel the visa on the spot and send the passenger back to Nigeria. |

dynamicdiva:Don’t allow VFS to mess you up. It is advisable to take action before the 30-day period expires. If your mother is unable to do it herself, you or another relative can visit VFS to submit the passport on her behalf. |

Good morning All, I'm sorry for asking too much, it's was because I was denied in June. In line of DIY, I do not have much in my account because I invested on properties but the Company I'm working with assured me on sponsoring me everything and I was given all needed letters and statement of account because I only wishes to visit my mom and return for 10 days.. No extension.. I got denied. Someone had advised me to have attached the Company account with mine. I dnt understand.. What does this mean pls.. He said I will do that from my bank. Can someone pls explain... Thank you |

sparrow76:A company can’t sponsor you for a private visit , it doesn’t make logical sense when it not a business trip . If you don’t have enough funds in your own account, it shows you may not be able to afford the trip since it’s for holiday and private visit. It’s better to improve your personal finances and show stronger home ties before reapplying, especially since you already have strong ties to Canada and they may fear you won’t return especially in a situation ur mother arrived canada illegally via usa to claim asylum in canada as stated on ur previous post ur chance of gettjng visa aprroved is extemely tiny with ur current profile.. |

Sorry house, can I use monthly mutual funds profit as the only source of income for my visit visa |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Dramadiddy(m): 11:16am On Oct 09, 2025 |
Sheron50:Hi this was my refusal message. Even though we own the business but we used the company account as proof of funds for a vacation trip Upon review of the application, I find that the evidence provided does not sufficiently establish the applicant’s socio-economic ties to their country of residence. Key indicators such as stable employment or business ownership or operations or family ties were either missing or inadequately documented. Additionally, the financial documentation submitted does not clearly demonstrate that the applicant has access to sufficient funds to support their intended visit to Canada. The source of funds is unclear, and there is limited evidence showing how these funds were accumulated over time. The purpose of the applicant's visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details provided in the application. Based on the balance of probabilities and considering all relevant evidence, I am not satisfied that the applicant meets the requirements for temporary entry to Canada. |

My Canada travel visa was approved this morning. I had a 4 year visa, issued in 2021 based on passport which expired last month. I travelled to Canada with it once in December 2021. I used the IRCC portal . Processing time was 10 days Submitted - 29th September 2025 PPR /Approval - 09 October 2025 I have biometrics till 2030. Passport submitted this morning, will revert with the length of visa issued once passport is returned. |

kentdealer:You can use monthly mutual fund profits (dividends or withdrawals) as your source of income for a visit visa. In my opinion, strong and consistent mutual fund returns can actually serve as a good home tie, since they show you have a solid financial base and less incentive to overstay or claim asylum in Canada. However, there are a few important conditions: 1. Show that the income is stable and recurring. 2. Provide clear proof of ownership of the mutual fund account. 3. Demonstrate overall financial stability (e.g., savings, investments, or assets). Visa officers primarily look for regular income, so make sure to include at least 6 months of statements showing the mutual fund returns being deposited into your account. If the profits fluctuate, briefly explain this in your cover letter — for example:“I earn an average of X million Naira per month from mutual fund investments.” Please I hope the money is large hhahahah they want to see you have money to spend in Canada and leave Attach your mutual fund account statement(s) showing your name, account number, and investment balance The higher and more consistent your returns, the stronger your case appears. Even if this is your only source of income which I hope its not , it’s important to also show a healthy savings balance or investment capital. Finally, if you have no job or business income, emphasize your strong financial and personal ties — such as property ownership, family connections, and ongoing investments — and clearly state your travel intent to avoid any impression of immigrant intent. |
