Many people don't know that Igala is a tribe in Anambra, although most of them speak Igbo language but they are still acknowledged and have a good number working in the state Civil service sector and security agencies.
Same is applicable to Enugu state which have Idoma/Igala communities in Nsukka zone of the state.
Anambra Govt radio stations and TV have Igala language program times, Igbos don't suppress people but always ready to tap from your areas of strength to improve themselves.
Some of the popular masquerades in Igbo land were copied from Igala and Efik cultures
Let's talk when IGALA don become governor for Anambra

I smell guilt because who asked you for explanation.

We all remember what happened when a minority from Enugu was made naval chief. Guilty conscience!

Exactly, people mistake dialects for languages.
Dialect is the Reason we have many tribes here every chukwu is igbo and every edoid language should remain in the edoid tribe after all their ancestors for thousands of years have traded and built an empire within Benin all these Yoruba dialect are still Yorubas, I don't know maybe the independence regionalism was best westerns that have always known about each Other existence I don't know though but during the first republic which region was most developed?

The Ibos were slaves to the Igalas for over two centuries.

Same as Aba and many town in Abia state, they used intermarriage to take over the towns from Akwa ibom people.

Statisence should correct itself.

In Lagos the 4 indigenous languages being spoken are
Yoruba, Awori, Ijebu and Egun.

You won't be forgiven when you make such obvious mistake again
abeg Awori and ijebu which tribe are they ?

Interesting! But how come the Igalas became the minority if they ruled over the Ibos years ago?

The Igalas are not minorities but Nigeria arrangements make them look so.

With the exception of 1 or 2 states in the SW(I stand to be corrected) no state in Nigeria has only one language.

We are not taking about tribe but the dialect, though Satisense used language to replace dialect so as not to complicate it.
Re: Nigerian States With The Least And The Most Languages by Abagworo(m): 8:27pm On Oct 02, 2025
Imo is the only State where only one language is spoken which is Igbo. No other State in Nigeria has a single language. Abia, Enugu and Ebonyi have other languages that aren't Igbo.

Did I dispute that?

I don't understand your point. We are taking about spoken dialect and not tribe here. Satisense replaced dialect with language for better understanding.

Many dialects exist in Yorubaland and some are extremely variant or deep away from the binding Yoruba we speak.

You don't know the difference between a language and dialects (a sub-language).
By your submission Osun will have ife, Oyo, igbomina, Ada, ijesa and more languages

Get yourself some education
A language is different from a dialect.
What you are calling languages are various Yoruba dialects. They are not languages.

Yes language as used in the context by Satisense means dialect.

Saying Egba is indigenous to Lagos dialect is like saying Ilaje is indigenous dialect in Lagos.

We have fringes of these dialects here and there but they are too minute to be taken as one of the main dialect.

However the most closely related dialect among the dialects are Ijebu, Awori and Egba
Is everything alright at home? You just sit down dey type without direction.

Language as used in the text means distinct language.

The people you listed are all Yoruba though with different dialect.

Complete fake data.
Do u know how many languages we have in delta state?
I was looking for Delta on the list but couldn't find it. It's obvious it's a fake list. The number of languages in Delta North alone is something else.
